  • This is a “rare” dracaena that is actually very easy to care for and propagate. (In my experience, most dracaenas are very easy to care for and grows steadily but slowly). This one has beautiful white variegation and thick matte leaves that I love. Watch how I turn this into multiple plants using moss and soil propagation.

      @@onlyplants thank you so much I’ll probably move my Dracaena to where my monstera is considering they both love that intense Texas sun. More sun bigger foliage or so I have seen so far.

    I remove entire leaves up to 90% and trim the remaining 10% of the leaves down to an inch long. Some I just leave as stumps. So many growth points pop out! :)

    Great video! Just what I was looking for! I have had one for some years now but no knowledge of how to properly care for it nor the thought of looking for tips online. My daughter gave it to me as a mothers day gift in primary school and it's still holding on (I guess it loves me lol). All my other plants are thriving well but this one. The leaves are not as long and I have always peeled off and trimmed the dead/browning off. Now I'm left with a long stem and a nice bundle at the top. Now after watching this video I will cut and replant the top portion. Thanks! 😊

    This was great to see. I bought one a few months ago…on sale for 4.00 with a pot. It had only two leaves, really one and half. I did not give up on it and it’s starting to put out more leaves. 🌱🌱. Your video gives me even more hope for my plant.

    Hi Sean, i just recently got a dracaena limelight and was looking up some information on it and stumbled upon your video. Great video and updated on the cuttings by the way. Question for you, i noticed at the beginning you had put a footnote that some dracaenas can handle direct sunlight, do you know if the limelight is able to? Thank you kindly.

    • @onlyplants
      @onlyplants  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yes in nature a lot of dracaenas are actually full sun plants. I would think the limelight should be able to but any plant would burn when suddenly moved to higher light. Introduce it slowly if you can. And I would stick to partial shade instead of full sub.
