You’re very good at describing & explaining. Your video is great quality. I’ve knit for over 10 years, but have always avoided set in sleeves and seaming. Intimidated. Finally I’ve found your video which got me actually doing it!!! Thank you soooo much 🌸
OH MY GOODNESS! You have saved my brain, my nerves, and my very first sweater project!! Thanks for such a perfectly instructed method - was losing my mind trying to read directions to do this. HERO!!!
Seaming is my least favorite part - I've always just made up random stitches and it made my finished product look messy, so this is SUPER helpful! Please make more seaming videos, I'm especially curious about how to attach sleeves to the body...
Thanks Isabel! I'm so glad you found it helpful! I used to hate seaming, but I think once you learn how to do it, it's actually quite calming and fun. I'll definitely add more seaming videos to my to-do list. Thank you :)
I agree with previous commenters - - very well put together tutorial. Love how you used a thicker yarn with a contrasting color! The other vid I watched used the same color yarn. Was hard to see what was what. Cannot believe there are actually dislikes for this video with all the work you put into it. Don't listen to them!
Thank you so much for explaining this method so well without ‘going round the houses’, as we say in England. My first attempt at mattress stitch and I’m thrilled.
Wonderful tutorial. I was racking my brain on how to seam the shoulders of my knitted cardigan and this method turned out beautifully! Seamless and professional. I'm so proud of my finished project, thanks to you! Thank you for sharing 🙂
Thank you so much for showing and explaining how to do this. It is way better than how I have been sewing up my knitting. It is very much appreciated. Joyce Laing
My fabric was a very dark teal, which made the correct placement of the yarn needle very difficult. So I used a light colored "life-line" that I woven BETWEEN the live stitches (Not thru them) before I did the bind off; did that for both sides; then did the bind-offs. Then when I did the needle insertions for the stitches, I knew exactly where I was working. I have pictures I could download if interested.
Thank you so much. Your video was super-easy to follow. My only concern is that the top of my sweater is done in Seed Stitch. I'm not sure if putting it together will be quite so easy. :But my next sweater, done in Stockinette Stitch, will now be easy to do. Thanks again.
So glad you found it helpful! For a seed stitch you can still do this method you’ll just have to look above the purl bumps for the “V”. Or you could do your bind off as a knit bind off so the edges will have an easy knit band to work off of. I also have a newer version of this video if you would like a slightly neater way to do this ❤️

Very clear and slow explanation. Especially after I saw someone else's video where there was no explanation, just image. Well done!

❤️ Thank You ❤️
Brilliant !
joyce UK Thanks for your video i'm going to try it out for the first time and will let you know, how I get on.
If you knit each piece off on to waste yarn, and then seam after, you will eliminate a whole lot of bulk in that area of the seam.
need this in written or picture form, thank you
Can we use a sewing needle? I dont have a tapestry needle
❤❤❤
Great tutorial. Can you share what type of yarn you used in this video?
I believe it was Bernat Maker Home Dec Yarn. It has kind of a tube like design to the strand. Hope that helps :)
Your voice 😢🤍
This is an extremely bad video. The instructions are incorrect.
Fantastic. Thank you.
