"Just gotta put some scratch on it." Those words mean a lot more with all that you have been through and physical setbacks, and it still sounds just as banging as before! Great job on your recovery man!
it's what makes him one of my favourite beatmakers on youtube, that he can actually scratch on vinyl and keep it classic, people don't do that nowadays and it's a damn shame
Love your videos, entertaining and helpful as well. Just getting into synths music production and your channel is one of my absolute favourites. Thank you for making such great content, and so much of it especially after your surgery, I hope you get as much appreciation as you deserve. Best of luck with your recovery. Love from New Zealand
Op-1 The preferred groovebox for rich people who still take the bus. Sounds fantastic. The scratching fit the song perfectly. ( I’m just joking about the op-1, they are awesome machines )
probably my favorite of yours so far, loving the chill vibe it has also it could be just my imagination but you seem to be a lot more comfortable in this than in a couple of your previous videos, and if that's the case i'm really glad!
You Amazing Acc'....!!!! Been watching you rockin' all these different Gears and you always come up with some Dope Sounds!!! You very inspiring. Thank you a lot for sharing your Talent... Keep it up Bro!!!!
That was dope. The OP1 looks cool for non keyboardists, not my cup of tea but you can make it sing if you know what you’re doing. By the end when you put the cuts on, it was def dope, esp after the drop.
Its nice that you got one of these at a good price years ago. Sadly at the ridiculous prices these go for now Im never going to be able to buy one (guess I could but not going to)
Sort of random, but where did you get your desk stands from that your monitor is on? Also, I hope all is well. I'm a new subscriber and just started watching your videos. You're a true inspiration and I'm glad you're able to continue your passion of making music, teaching, and sharing your knowledge to us here on RUclips.
Where’s the sampling record gain increase on the OP-1? The input volume is WAY too low and no one ever references how to adjust the input gain. Apologies if you did in this vid and and I missed it, but this thing is way too quiet.
Hi Accurate, Recently picked up your channel - it is hugely inspiring and an instant subscribe! I am in the process of finding my first expensive piece of hardware (already have mic, audio interface, guitar, and electric piano) and my heart has fallen for the Op-1. I see you are still regularly using the OP-1 but prices are really high now. Just wanted to ask if it is one of your favorite pieces of hardware, or if you think the price has become prohibitively expensive for what is on offer and if you would go for other things? I think I could get something like a Push 2, decent synth and Roland SP-404A for the same money, but it is of course not in one package and much more laptop dependent. I am also looking at the Organelle M which seems to be able to do many of the same things but at a lower price. Generally I am looking for a piece of hardware to inspire my music making and songwriting and not for instance only a dedicated synth. Thanks for all the inspiration and any input you might have, Niels
Hey, thanks! The OP-1 is super inspiring device to use in many ways. When it comes down to functionality though, there are a lot of different solutions to get access to the same stuff. Push 2 and ableton is definitely a good option even though I haven’t used it much. The price of the op-1 is crazy and I doubt it’ll ever become and cheaper. I love it for what it is and having a sampler, sequencer, multiple synths and such at hand in one box of that size is great. But maybe not really worth the price if I’m honest. The MC-707 from Roland is also very inspiring to me but so is the 404 or the MPCs. Since you can get both a decent sampler and a separate synth for the money you’d have to put into an op1 I think you should look into something else at this moment. Check out the up-z also! It’s cheaper and very very inspiring in its own way.
@@AccurateBeats Thank you so much for the detailed and swift answer! I think I will look in those directions and then keep my eyes open for a good potential second hand deal on the OP-1 at some point. Will also keep my eyes on you channel
Great beat as always, Accurate. Is there any way to set the sample start and end points with the OP-1? It seems like with its auto-chopping, the positions aren't ideal.
I sold mine and bought another one last week...it works amazingly well with the 1010music blackbox with both making up each other’s shortcomings....The OP1 is now the sketch board track starter into Blackbox and then recorded back into OP1 for more over dubs, tape tricks and it’s nice compression

Well... Everything takes more time and effort than before but I’m still kinda able to do things:) I’m so happy for that!
Thanks for watching 😀

What's your favorite device to work on? Would love to see more MK3 if you have time :-)
When you sample this way are you over writing one of the drum kits when you record the sample in?
Great beat as always, Accurate. Is there any way to set the sample start and end points with the OP-1? It seems like with its auto-chopping, the positions aren't ideal.
Thanks! Yeah, it just auto chops the sample at first. All start/end points are fully editable and you can copy/ paste the slices as well.
@@AccurateBeats That's awesome. I wish that thing was a tiny bit cheaper. Always wanted to pick one up... it looks so cool and fun.
That was chiiiiiiiiiiiill, thank you! That'll fit the wintery mood with hot tea, some vegan cookies, hot blanket and warmy yellow lights
Sounds like a cozy time :)
@@AccurateBeats Haha, yeah! It is! :)
I miss my op 1...I bought and sold it 3 times...so dumb
Oh? I’ve ben really close to selling mine too. So happy I never went through with that.
It’s just a lot of fun :)
That should tell you something
