Brother Lawrence was relegated to kitchen work. His initial response was anger, bitterness and a thought of leaving the monastery. He wanted to be upstairs with the "real" monks engaged in "true" contemplation. He decided to practice the presence of God right in the kitchen. From him we get clean dishes and the Holy Spirit. No one remembers the monks upstairs but we can all meditate on Living the presence of God. A spiritual classic from a dishwasher.
You are very right. It's not about having time, it's about making time. If we evaluate our lives and how we spend our time, most of us will find that, like you say, we actually have more time than we think.
Just like biblical and historical evidence proves that jesus and his apostles were vegatarians biblical and historical evidence also proves that the trinity, atonement, original sin and hell are very late misinterpretations and are not supported by the early creed hence its not a part of Christianity I pray that Allah swt revives Christianity both inside and out preserves and protects it and makes its massage be witnessed by all people but at the right moment, place and time The secred text of the Bible says ye shall know them by their fruits So too that I say to my christian brothers and sisters be fruitful and multiply Best regards from a Muslim ( line of ismail )
Indeed one of the greatest christian discipline is to denounce the world, so that one may be part of the world through prayer and sacrifice. He who fights at the frontlines is comforted knowing that thousands of miles away someone is defending his cause through prayers. Thank you for this series. There is always a quiet peaceful path in the chaos and hopelessness of the times, if we trust Our Lord in prayers.
I've found that an incredible boost to my prayer life is living in earshot of a Mosque. Praying in response to the Azan with the Our Father and/or Hail Mary might not be Muslim but I don't think God minds. Would find it difficult to believe in a God that would mind. Just a thought.
I find doing the Angelus at Noon and 6 as well as Chaplet of Divine Mercy (takes 8 minutes) at 3 pm. (or whenever you can) helps keep me praying through the day. Specially when I am being lazy!
Unbelievable fact 👉🏻explaining Christianity with the bible is impossible🤦♂️ In maths 1+1+1 = 3 ,but in Christianity 1+1+1 = 1 🤦♂️ My father, me & my mum are 3, but in Christianity the father, the son & the holy spirit are ONE 🤦♂️ To preach Islam we muslims use the Quran & Hadith, but the Christians must avoid the bible to preach Christianity 🤦♂️
Have you ever looked into the Divine Office? For some time I also lived near to both a mosque & Catholic parish (the mosque was closer) & I frequently heard the azzan but rarely ever heard the Church bell beyond 6 am. Although I wasn't very committed to prayer at the time, I thought to myself, "If only we [Christians] were so committed to prayer". Soon after I learnt about the Divine Office & the Latin Church's tradition (especially among Franciscans) of ringing the Angelus bells throughout the day as a call to prayer, though I was already familiar with the prayer from Catholic schooling. The Divine Office then became & continues to be a great part of my prayer life, along with spontaneous prayer. I usually don't get more than 3 prayer times (out of 7) per day during the week but it's still a very humbling & practical way to remain consistent in my desire for & conversation with God. May the Holy Spirit guide us!
The recovery of Vocation at the time of the Reformation is the answer to this question. The person who works 9-5 w/ 4 kids at home is pleasing to God sans a cloister life because he is engaged in work, however ordinary, that God has commanded him to do. And, of course, he ought then to pray with his family.
Verily, We did send down the Taurât (Torah) [to Mûsâ (Moses)], therein was guidance and light, by which the Prophets, who submitted themselves to Allâh’s Will, judged for the Jews. And the rabbis and the priests [too judged for the Jews by the Taurât (Torah) after those Prophets], for to them was entrusted the protection of Allâh’s Book, and they were witnesses thereto. Therefore fear not men but fear Me (O Jews) and sell not My Verses for a miserable price. And whosoever does not judge by what Allâh has revealed, such are the Kâfirûn (i.e. disbelievers - of a lesser degree as they do not act on Allâh’s Laws).[1]
When Muhammad met God he was told to pray one hundred times a day. God thinks you have all the time in the world so maybe you should pray that you win the lottery. When God doesn't answer your prayer you can chalk it up that God knows best

Love this
We have more time than we think. Waiting on line for your coffee, the actual commute, starting your day at your desk. Set your clock app periodically.

True!
One goal this Lent is to strengthen my prayer life.
Thank you Austin for snipping this small section from the main video! A tiny treasure from the big chest. 🙏🏽😃😄

Please also pray that our Muslim friends will hear, believe, and obey the Gospel, and that Christians will love them into Christ's Kingdom.
Cool to use spare time to pray^_^❤
I pray when I swim for exercise
Nice!
Yes I would pray the rosary while swimming lengths of the pool.
10 tips are not necessay. Only 1 is required.
Pray the rosary and ask Mary for guidance and help.

Step 1: Pray to God Himself, because He isn't unapproachable, contrary to what many seem to think.
Yeah, if have mortal sin. It is a different story.

Muhammad never met God
