  • Ena Mill, Built in 1908, the five-storey Grade II listed building constructed with red brick.
    It was designed by G Temperley & Son of Bolton. It has a two-storey extension for carding, a tower with a flat top and an engine house and chimney bearing its name. Carrington Viyella operated it in the 1980s. It is occupied by retail units and the Atherton Office of Wigan and Leigh Housing.
    The chimney was famously climbed by the late great Fred Dibnah
