Your description of that dogfight was top notch!
Very interesting
Cool nickname for a pilot. 😀👍
I'm not the only one who thinks Dogfight looks like Wild Bill am I?
I'm thoroughly convinced the figure sculpt for Dogfight was originally intended to be Wild Bill v2. Very cool to learn about the inspiration for the Mud Fighter!
I could see that but he still reminds me of Ace Duck from TMNT.
Absolutely! I tried to allude to that at the beginning. I couldn’t find any concept or dev. art to confirm that he’s another Wild Bill but wanted to drop a reference because I do agree with that idea 😎
@@JLSComics Yeah, I picked up on that and I'm glad you agree. I haven't been able to find concrete proof either, unfortunately.
@@cowpuddles4851 Oh, for sure!
Awesome Video, JLS ‼️ I just picked up a GI JOE #1 recently and now I'm all nostalgic out lol. Fun Video Brother!! -Rich
Thanks bro! Great to see you over here too! 😎
@@JLSComics Hell yeah My Dude! Still hoping to collaborate w/you some day. Keep up the awesome work. I will admit, your channel has gotten me thru some dark days the past 4 years. Plus, it sharpen my spec game as well!
Sweet 👍
Can you please do history of Marvel's Elementals(Hellfire, Magnum, Hydron and Zephyr) since they we're mentioned in Spider-Man Far From Home? I think that they deserve some recognition
Can you do history of DC's Amethyst and Marvel's Topaz?
Ok, very interesting. I don't remember Dogfight.
Dogfight looks like a B-17 pilot from WWII
His look reminded me of Jack Dalton (Bruce McGillis) from the original MacGyver starring Richard Dean Anderson.
He was.
He was frozen in ice after his bomber crashed for 40 years until the Joe team thawed him out.
Had G. I. Joe Special Missions #28 that detailed Dogfight’s intro. It was also the one time the USS Flagg was in the spotlight, although she (as in the 1980s cartoon) lacked a proper escort group - usually 2 missile cruisers, 2 missile destroyers, and 2 Anti Submarine Warfare Frigates, plus one or two Los Angeles class submarines.
Also the Flagg had way too many Phalanx CIWS cannons. Nimitz class carriers have up to four, and the USS Enterprise has 3.
Regarding Dogfight, his branch of service was never established, both Ace and Slipstream are from the Air Force. Ditto Maverick of Battle Force 2000. Keel Haul seems to be the only Naval Aviator who’s a Joe. (US law bars surface warfare Captains from commanding the super carriers).
The Mudfighter was disappointing as a toy. He gatling guns are simply sculpted in, and she lacks the 2 air-to-air missiles seen in the comics.
That was my dads name James King mine is Brian King.. lol 😂 hey do you have one on Dodger in gi joe? I bought a figure would like to know a little more on him.. thanks
