My theory still remains that the archons were manipulated of sorts. Celestia is very powerful and they could easily destroy the archon's cities with one skyfrost nail. I just cannot imagine someone like Venti, whom adores humanity so much, or someone like Zhongli who cares about the people like Guizhong did, that they would mercilessly commit a mass genocide against innocent people. Then again there can be a lot of different reasons for their actions, but it just lets me wonder.

Plot Twist: The real reason why Kaeya drinks at Diluc's Tavern is not just to gather information or to support Diluc's Winery, it's also because he can't stand Venti's(Barbatos's) presence and he drinks to forget. Having a near constant reminder of the slaughter of your people right next to you, laughing their head off and making themselves vulnerable, offering up a perfect opportunity and having to reign in the control or drown out the thoughts with wine must be exhausting over time.

I feel like that the only archon weve met so far thats the most trustworthy is ei, shes hasnt had contact with celestia since she locked herself in the plane of euthimiya because she gave up the gnosis willingly and we’ve all seen how her strength is without one
Ironic, considering she was one of the antagonists for the Archon Quest. Also ironic is..I think she can also understand the Traveler the best, because they both lost their other half-their twin-during the events of Khaenri'ah's destruction.
Oh god its soo creepy. I love it. Imagine if when we make it to celestia. The being in control orders all of the archons to chase after us and try to convert us into one of them because we saw too much. If mihoyo does that scene it would be amazing

No matter how sus the archons are , i cannot really imagine them to be evil. I mean, look how much they care for their nations. All the archons we have seen so far are ready to go to extreme extents for their nation, Zhongli literally gave up his position as the geo archon to let liyue prosper on it's own, and all of Ei's actions were because she loved inazuma so much..and now she has learnt from her mistakes and is trying to do what is best for Inazuma. I just...there has to be some manipulation by celestia going on behind why they destroyed khaenr'iah.

The archons were not manipulated, nor did they take part on the destruction of Khaen'riah. They are also not evil, they are instead pretty much just neutral. out of them (if the lore says the truth) Zhongli is the most righteus and good willing, while we dont have that much information on the personalities of the other archons.

I don't think the archons are the one that destroyed kaenriah, Ei's sister was summoned there right. My theory is when the day kaenriah is destroyed, that is the day all archons are summoned for peace in kaenriah meeting or something, then there was a coup created by Celestia(killing Ei's sister in the process).
You may be on to something, khaenri’ah was the only nation that did not start with an archon or ever even have an archon. It was built solely from humans and their knowledge.

Knew I wasn't the only one who was suspicious of the archons! Fr I trust the abyss order more then the archons cause least the abyss is flat out honest on how it feels about humanity Edit: an additional thing i shall add! It's a little theory of mine where, Celestia is more like a corrupt system then just all out evil. Archons course being partly at fault for doing nothing about the system though this might be due to a lack of power on their part OR the gnosis themselves being a constraint to keep them in order.
Yeah the archons are definitely sus. Though i have a feeling its more so celestia rather than the archons. Since even they have shown a dislike or wanting to get away from Celestia as much as possible. Notice how both the archons and the abyss have something against celestia BUT the archons are equally as dangerous if whoever is incharge of celestia can restrict and control their movement. Of course Celestia is bad, you just have to read the Enkonomiya books to find out. But not for that reason the order of the abyss is good. They do horrible things, even Dain lied to us about Kaenria'h motives, but people often overlook it. (sorry for my bad english)
I just finished "We Will Be Reunited" Quest and all the while Dain was outright badmouthing the archons and explaining what happened to Khaenriah, all I'm thinking about was Zhongli in my party just sipping tea in the background and not make eye contact with him and Kaeya just being... The evil archons thing is a really cool concept, but it's highly unlikely due to how they treat others in their respective story quests My take for this animatic is that it's mind control, which would also make sense because of those lifeless, blank eyes staring straight through you
This actually gives me vibes of Lumine in the video being the (later) abyssal twin, and the Archons are trying to seduce her to Celestia during the fall of Khaenri'ah.

Out of the archons, including those we haven't met, I genuinely believe Ei Raiden is the safest. She had no involvement with Khaerniahs destruction and willingly gave up her connection with celestia, then locked herself away for years for self-reflection (eternity). All other archons: Venti, was heavily involved in the destruction of Khaerniah and do not want his gnosis taken (he put up and a fight, but that might of just been to make it realistic). Also, Venti only is awaken when something is happening.seen theamha with Vanessa and again when Dvalin was in danger, so why hasn't he gone back to sleep since the conflict is over? (or maybe, it isnt) And his one voiceline that goes something like: "Oh hey Traveller, I haven't seen you in a long time! Oh?.. You don't remember me?" Morax refuses talk due to a "contract" and has given all god-hood. Kusanali, is the replacement for the god of the woods (whom replaced the god of wisdom) and is a child (by body, maybe by mentality too?). And honestly gives of untrustworthy vibes. The Tsartisa is collecting these gnosis to rebel against Celestia with any mean necessary + Shezanya is well known for its technology, especially Il Dottore, so maybe Kayeryne was posted in each nation to keep tabs on everyone. Went as far to declare war on the world for peace. The Hydro Archon is not one of original 7 Victor and is the god of justice. Her gohood title may suggest something to be said about her character and the nation. Afterall, wasn't the Oceanid forced to leave its homeland (Fontaine?) and seek refuge is Qingce. Murata, the pyro archon is described as obnoxious. Her used to do rituals in her honour however 1000 years ago when Venti awoke and met Vanessa (a descendant of Murata) she had no clue of her history so maybe Murata is a bit of a recluse? Or maybe her country is sealed off for something... Either way, they all seem rather suspicious to me and honestly, Venti is the most in my opinion. But that's probably because it's his character to be aloof and he loose-lipped (alcohol does not help). You also have to remember they are all named after demons. Paimon too. Paimon was a demon who commanded 200 legions and was a king so take that as you want.
Zhongli is the most untrustworthy mostly because of the fact that both venti and ei were kinda just thrown at the archon role after a close relative/friend died. Venti would not willingly kill people, he cares a lot about other people’s opinions, that’s why he never really ruled monstadt. Baal (Ei’s “sister”) is known to be a very kind archon. During the archon war, zhongli slaughtered countless weak gods to get his place among the 7. Which is why he may be the strongest archon out of the 7, and the most deadly.
If I watch the background I come to that conclusion they are in the "sky" that means it's Celestia or the abbys mage ,they eyes are strange like they are brain washed so they not evil just brain washed by Celestia!
Theory: The abyss twin said that once we reach the end of our journey, we will see the true nature of this world. Usually this phrase is used for proving something that’s wrong(correct me if I’m wrong cuz idk if this is correct) the traveler trusts paimon and everyone in teyvat. I believe that the abyss twin thinks that Teyvat is evil. The archons, paimon, guoba,Andrius, and the unknown god has the names of demons and Makoto’s title which was Baal. One is named after a demon. Beelzebub, Baal Barbatos Paimon, Asmoday(the name Asmoday was named after Asmodeus I think) Andrius is The demon andras and guoba is the demon marchosias Celestia summoned the seven archons to destroy khaenriah. Celestia is more powerful than the archons and it controls the archons. So it’s like satan and his demons or devils. I believe that Celestia is like satan and the archons are like demons and the people of their nations are like devils. Also the traveler is on teyvat’s side and the abyss twin is on the abyss side. The abyss are khaenriah people so we are killing citizens of khaenriah. Teyvat wants the fatui and the abyss dead. I think that the abyss is the actual good side and Teyvat is the evil side. So what I think is that Teyvat is manipulating the traveler into helping them and never helping the traveler. The traveler has helped them a lot or is saving the world but only a few people helped the traveler by putting up missing person posters or most of of the people that helped him saved him.

They were very likely forced to destroy it. If you think about it, Ei didn’t go to Kaehnrya, Makoto did. Makoto was not a fighter, Ei was, so why was Makoto the one to go? I think it’s because Makoto was the one with the gnosis, so the one who had to answer to Celestia, while Ei didn’t have to Otherwise it makes no sense for Makoto to be the one to go to Kaehnrya

I went to the chasm, and got more info, saw the hillichruls dying, and decided look dead in the eyes of my zhongli and venti…. *now my trust for them is depleting, more than it did when I first talked with dain….* *I’m not asking for help, I’m just implying That I soon will no longer trust them* *I already don’t trust celestia, if I’m giving more reasons to not trust the archons, I won’t trust even the nicest of archons.*

If I were to fight all three at the same time i'd go for Venti since he is the weakest but I know I still would have trouble than for Ei and Zongli I'd run away get killed multiple times try again multiple times have a little breakdown on the fact I can't defeat Ei and Zongli and after crying and dieing a few times finally win

Edit: an additional thing i shall add! It's a little theory of mine where, Celestia is more like a corrupt system then just all out evil. Archons course being partly at fault for doing nothing about the system though this might be due to a lack of power on their part OR the gnosis themselves being a constraint to keep them in order.
Yeah the archons are definitely sus. Though i have a feeling its more so celestia rather than the archons. Since even they have shown a dislike or wanting to get away from Celestia as much as possible. Notice how both the archons and the abyss have something against celestia
BUT the archons are equally as dangerous if whoever is incharge of celestia can restrict and control their movement. Its kind of obvious that the archons arent the top dogs so that is a possibility.

Of course Celestia is bad, you just have to read the Enkonomiya books to find out. But not for that reason the order of the abyss is good. They do horrible things, even Dain lied to us about Kaenria'h motives, but people often overlook it.

I just finished "We Will Be Reunited" Quest and all the while Dain was outright badmouthing the archons and explaining what happened to Khaenriah, all I'm thinking about was Zhongli in my party just sipping tea in the background and not make eye contact with him and Kaeya just being... Out of the archons, including those we haven't met, I genuinely believe Ei Raiden is the safest. She had no involvement with Khaerniahs destruction and willingly gave up her connection with celestia, then locked herself away for years for self-reflection (eternity).
All other archons:
Venti, was heavily involved in the destruction of Khaerniah and do not want his gnosis taken (he put up and a fight, but that might of just been to make it realistic). Also, Venti only is awaken when something is happening.seen theamha with Vanessa and again when Dvalin was in danger, so why hasn't he gone back to sleep since the conflict is over? (or maybe, it isnt) And his one voiceline that goes something like: "Oh hey Traveller, I haven't seen you in a long time! Oh?.. You don't remember me?"

Kusanali, is the replacement for the god of the woods (whom replaced the god of wisdom) and is a child (by body, maybe by mentality too?). And honestly gives of untrustworthy vibes.
The Tsartisa is collecting these gnosis to rebel against Celestia with any mean necessary + Shezanya is well known for its technology, especially Il Dottore, so maybe Kayeryne was posted in each nation to keep tabs on everyone. Went as far to declare war on the world for peace.
The Hydro Archon is not one of original 7 Victor and is the god of justice. Her gohood title may suggest something to be said about her character and the nation. Afterall, wasn't the Oceanid forced to leave its homeland (Fontaine?) and seek refuge is Qingce.
Murata, the pyro archon is described as obnoxious. Her used to do rituals in her honour however 1000 years ago when Venti awoke and met Vanessa (a descendant of Murata) she had no clue of her history so maybe Murata is a bit of a recluse? Or maybe her country is sealed off for something...
Either way, they all seem rather suspicious to me and honestly, Venti is the most in my opinion. But that's probably because it's his character to be aloof and he loose-lipped (alcohol does not help).
You also have to remember they are all named after demons. Paimon too. Paimon was a demon who commanded 200 legions and was a king so take that as you want.
Zhongli is the most untrustworthy mostly because of the fact that both venti and ei were kinda just thrown at the archon role after a close relative/friend died. Venti would not willingly kill people, he cares a lot about other people’s opinions, that’s why he never really ruled monstadt. Baal (Ei’s “sister”) is known to be a very kind archon. During the archon war, zhongli slaughtered countless weak gods to get his place among the 7. Which is why he may be the strongest archon out of the 7, and the most deadly.
If I watch the background I come to that conclusion they are in the "sky" that means it's Celestia or the abbys mage ,they eyes are strange like they are brain washed so they not evil just brain washed by Celestia!

Theory:
The abyss twin said that once we reach the end of our journey, we will see the true nature of this world. Usually this phrase is used for proving something that’s wrong(correct me if I’m wrong cuz idk if this is correct) the traveler trusts paimon and everyone in teyvat. I believe that the abyss twin thinks that Teyvat is evil. The archons, paimon, guoba,Andrius, and the unknown god has the names of demons and Makoto’s title which was Baal. One is named after a demon. Beelzebub, Baal Barbatos Paimon, Asmoday(the name Asmoday was named after Asmodeus I think) Andrius is The demon andras and guoba is the demon marchosias Celestia summoned the seven archons to destroy khaenriah. Celestia is more powerful than the archons and it controls the archons. So it’s like satan and his demons or devils. I believe that Celestia is like satan and the archons are like demons and the people of their nations are like devils. Also the traveler is on teyvat’s side and the abyss twin is on the abyss side. The abyss are khaenriah people so we are killing citizens of khaenriah. Teyvat wants the fatui and the abyss dead. I think that the abyss is the actual good side and Teyvat is the evil side. So what I think is that Teyvat is manipulating the traveler into helping them and never helping the traveler. The traveler has helped them a lot or is saving the world but only a few people helped the traveler by putting up missing person posters or most of of the people that helped him saved him.

The archons are not evil. Celestia is controlling them like pawns. Reading the voice lines, it says that Makoto went to Khaenri'ah to help. If Makoto is the former archon of Inazuma, why would she go to help?

I like to think that we can trust them. Ei and Zhongli, at least. It might be me simping, but I really want to think them trustworthy. I believe they regret their actions in K, or were forced to destroy it.

Makoto was not a fighter, Ei was, so why was Makoto the one to go? I think it’s because Makoto was the one with the gnosis, so the one who had to answer to Celestia, while Ei didn’t have to
Otherwise it makes no sense for Makoto to be the one to go to Kaehnrya
