Ei didn't mistreat or abuse scara like everyone says. Miko wanted to kill him bit Ei literally felt bad for it amd let him wanderer around the world instead of killing him. For me that doesn't seem wrong, yes she maybe abandoned him but the work wouldn't fit him at that time... And they didn't really have a strong commection to eachother. By just leaving him that Ei wanted just shows that she actually loved him and didn't have the heart to kill a creation she made.
