13:18 SAAAME. I think this was the interview that kind of made me really pay attention to them. Because I didn't know this was how bad they were treated in the very beginning by the press. Like I don't know ANY other newbie Filipino artist who had a media launch that had multiple offensive questioning. This is why the new PPOP groups have a deep respect for SB19, because they now don't have to go through this after SB19 crawled their way to success. It took them years to make the local mainstream media respect SB19, paving the way for other PPOP groups to be noticed.
The late Henry Sy Sr. (Owner of SM) literally from streets but poverty didn't stop him to grind and make money at an early stage of his life.. he became billionare, owning supermalls here in PH🇵🇭 and one of the richest man alive.. All of them are focused on their dreams and worked hard to pursue it even failure comes. hopefully SB19 and their families will remain to be a great people and influence others in a good way💙 praying for more success in the future🙏

Ahh... that infamous press conference! That is literally the day when I decided to stan them. Ive seen their Go Up MV first, then looked up their debut MV, Tilaluha. Ive seen so much potential but wasnt convinced with the Go Up MV since it looked not up to par with what talent i see from them. Then i heard that they will be perfoming an unreleased new song at their press conference, Hanggang Sa Huli. With the live performance of HSH and that infuriating reporter, that's when I realised i will be staning this group and will protect them at all cost. Til this day HSH will always be my favorite SB19 song.
To this day I cannot bear to re-watch that conference, but hey! It is just another obstacle that sb19 has fought through!! I love them so much we have to protect and keep stanning them! Our mahalima
That infamous press conference is still up on YT. Obviously, should you choose to give it a watch, be forewarned that it can be a bit aggravating. It was also during this conference, if I remember, where the ‘Kuyas’ (Tagalog term for older brothers) - meaning Josh and Pablo - tried to step in and field the challenging questions in an effort to protect the younger members. Something they do to this day, sigh.

Let me correct some info. The timeline was off. When everyone left, they weren't SB19 yet, they were trainees to be members of SB19. That time, Josh, Pablo, and Justin left and other trainess too. Only Stell stayed. Then Josh came back, convinced everyone else to comeback, but only Pablo and Justin came back. They were just four and felt incomplete. Josh then said that he knew someone and that was Ken. They invited him to audition, Josh despite not having enough, lended Ken money so he could fly to Manila from his province in Zamboanga. Stell taught Ken the choreo for Love Goes since then he's been an official member. Then they debuted. This happened during their pre-debut, not Go Up Era like what the video said.
Go Up was their comback and redemption song. They decided that if Go Up flopped, they will disband. But then their dance practice went viral and that's how everything started.
The boys are back. Really back. Their going to do concert internationally after their name legal battle last year.

When I saw this conference... First, it made me so livid ...then really felt sorry for them! Who effing cares if they are all gay? IT DOES NOT MATTER! We should all be here for the undeniable talent! Grrrrr! Still makes me MAD every time I come across this horrible press conference! Right now, I'm so amazed as how far they';ve come and had put this maddening experience behind them!😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩

I really hate that presscon, SB19 don't deserve that kind of disrespect 😤 it breaks my heart specially for Stell 😢 he's just smiling but deep inside I know he's hurt. Glad he's a lot more stronger and confident now, negativities doesn't affect him that much anymore and I'm thankful that he stayed despite all the hate. This episode explains everything why we're very protective to SB19 💙
If you listen closely to Stell in that press conf, you will hear a slight crack in his voice as he answered that question. But he managed to control his emotions. And i refuse to call those 2 people who asked those questions as journalists! 😠

A thing to note about the story of everyone leaving but stell, if i'm not wrong that was before justin and ken became trainees. Justin was either in the company's talent workshop or an intern (maybe another fan can clarify) but he joined stell in practicing when the others left. So if you see another of Chuck's videos about the would-have-been members, Ken was never part of the initial line-up. When Josh and Pablo (Sejun then) came back, they resumed the group again and looked for a last member who, after auditioning with a few other potential candidates, got voted by the other members to finally become part of the group.
Just wanted to add to the story because, as well-edited as this series is, this part is not entirely accurate and wouldn't be fair to their story. It's not taking away from Stell of course, since it's still true that he stayed on despite the pressures they faced.
Hi Kaps! Justin was a trainee & an intern at the time Josh, Pablo & the 3 other members left (their group name then was PARADOX). Only Pablo & Josh came back, so technically it’s Stell & Justin who didn’t leave the group.💙
Try to watch again their interview from Tonitalks, they said it themselves and also Justin that they all left and only Stell stayed.
@@Romthea1125 Hello kaps, try to watch their Parcinq interview, Pablo mentioned it there. Also, there was a video where Stell is teaching Justin some dance steps and Justin said that he never learned those steps. They said that was the time when everybody left and Justin saw Stell practicing alone, so he accompanied Stell in practice. He was still in school at that time, so he was absent from practice most of the time. Stell was just highlighted on Tonitalks coz he was supposed to debut solo.

Well, being in the zone is a state of mind. It's being smart and strategic. It's working hard despite the odds not being in your favor. It's the focus you have towards your goal. It's sacrificing for a greater purpose. It's you finding ways to better yourself to contribute better. Finding courage to fight back. I think that's why Chuck put it as being in the zone made billionaires and winning wars. :D

Maybe he should have said a big part of success is being in the zone when you focus unequivocally on a goal that you mute everything that is negative in order to single handledly give yourself the chance to succeed . But yeah the message is still there
What's more frustrating during that interview asking if they are strsight or not, the interviewer himself is Gay. Like wtf? He should know better!

The 2 people who asked the irrelevant questions were supposed to be respected journalists and should know better.
One of them, Isah Red, was a veteran entertainment editor. He died just a month after this presscon. I don't want to speak ill of the dead but....
The other one? He could now be kissing the path Stell is walking on.

the thing about the "gay" comment is, the person criticizing them was gay. like they didn't appreciate the fact that the boys were trying to break through the industry, probably envious too. he died amidst the pandemic, i think.
