I have never done anything nitro before. I've been flying electric for 10 years, and just came into a pile of old, corroded nitro engines to restore and hopefully get running again. I built an Ugly Stick and am going to put a super tigre 61 on it. I've cleaned everything but the carb, which seems daunting to me. Your videos are very helpful to a noob like me! Thank you
Thanks for the comment, regarding the headgasket, its not as easy to make as other gaskets, as they need to be foil or light alloy, due to the hear and pressue. Have to see how it runs, as not all engines have head gaskets.
Mark ---- One question I have Terry below asked. are parts avail. for these OS Engines and you said some parts are. I don't have any engines as of yet, that's one reason I am watching your video's. Am paying close attention to you Disassembly , Reassemble -----AND the SET-UP of the engine (s) to get them started after reassembly WITHOUT causing damage or destroying it. ------ Rodney
Hi Mark. I’ve been watching your channel for a few months now, as I’ve just got into the hobby. I was given a gummed up OS max 40fs. I’ve worked on it, and got it working. I really enjoyed stripping it down and rebuilding it. Anyway, I took a punt and won a bid on eBay for an OS Max-s 35. It cost me £20. Due to my inexperience I didn’t notice the needle valve/fuel entry assembly was missing. There’s so many conflicting numbers on the internet, I don’t know where to start to get one. Could you please point me in the right direction of where to get one? I’d be ever so grateful. Regards Steve.
Like you I always go to ebay for most of my engine spared, but can't help you with the spec, but this type of info is abailable somewhere on line, goog luck

Thanks for the comment, its great to fly IC, good luck with the change and your glow engines.
Nice video once again 👍 I'm just going to do the same with an old OS 40.
Go for it! Thanks for the comment, its appreciated
Very careful reassembly pays dividends.
Great video Mark, really enjoying this series. Inspirational and very informative. Now where’s a ladder, I think I’ve got an OS Max 19 up in the loft.
Thanks very much, appreciate the comment, good luck with the OS MAX 19
Good video Mark, even though it is not called for a head gasket wouldn't hurt, the engine looked oil and exhaust soaked before disassembly.

Good idea using air tool oil, much cheaper and it dispersed moisture perfectly, every day a school day.
Thanks Mark, appreciate the comment
Saludos desde Cuba. Gran trabajo.
Thank you very much

@@MarkRobinson555 Ok. Thank you for replying. I’m sure I’ll get something…it’ll be cleaned and sold on as spares otherwise.
Hi Mark. I don't know, but are spares readily available for these engines.
Hi Terry, there are a fair amount of spare parts around for OS engines, which is good - Have a good day, great flying weather at the moment!!
@@MarkRobinson555 thanks again for today's video.
Tour welcome, really pleased you like them, thanks for the comment 😀
Where did you order that replacement o-ring?
I always get my O rings from ebay, huge selection and easy
Yes! Get it into the test stand!👍
Have you got a plane for it Mark?
I am thinking of designing a new flying wing for it, but still thinking about, its a lovely engine.
No need for any locking compound on head or crank bolts?
No never needed 😀
Might have a job for you 😜
Hahahaha, I'm very expensive 🤣
