I love these sorts of guides. Superiorly in depth and explanatory. I have 3500 hours in this game and like to think I'm pretty good. But always happy to learn from someone with more experience. Thanks, Zlewikk! Love from the USA.
This made me remember the time me and my mp allies had a 600k stack with like 5 backrows and we kept losing and losing against the ottomans on his mountainforts.
10:20 - you can plan around that, you can always send troops *before* the battle starts. If it takes a month for reinforcements to arrive, it also takes 30 days for the main force to arrive, you can always just time it. Send reinforcements every few days, rather than wait till the battle start. Also results in less battles loss for scorched earth
Heeeeeyyy, I saw Zlewikk's name pop up when he was picking a giveaway winner! Also, thanks for mentioning the map mode which shows river crossings - if there's one mistake I make far too often, it's going into battle on a river crossing.
Thank you for providing this guide! I have learnt a little as I play along, but this guide has provided me with some invaluable information. I love learning more about EU4, and it never seems to end :)
Im watching nearly all videos and stream replays of yours and habibis for the last month. Joined my first mp last week and every time i talk with people they just mention how well im doing considering its my first mp and im fighting a 1v3 against experianced players rn(idk if i win that im not a cobeligarent in the war so i wont lose much if i lose im just fighting to make a statement). I just want to thank you because you made it possible
Oh... We ended up having another combat tutorial over the estates one. I mean, you are always teaching us to fight in your vids, but estates efficient management is all along time. It is always nice to have a perfect tutorial though! Great video!
Another great guide - a lot of this knowledge is floating around some MP communities (except for that reinforcement trick, only seen that a few times in all my hours on MP), but it’s good that it’s all consolidated in one place. Hopefully this inspires more people to try out multiplayer also.
Thanks, that was very helpful. I had misunderstood how flanking range worked. I thought it was the depth of cavalry from the edges of the 2nd row which could participate in the attack, so I was generally keeping 4 cav in my back row. Time to get rid of them!
Me: Cavalry Zlewikk: Cavraly Me: OK, Cavraly Great guide Zlewikk, I was able to beat Ottomans with your advice. About time I learned to use combat effectively, I've just been throwing my full army into the fray for the last 1k+ hours.
I remember the first time i found out about the reinforcement trick, and i actually won wars against france with less troops, i felt like an absolute god lol

Great guide.
You make our eu4 live much easier.
Nice to hear that!
Nice this is a great video that I will recommend to my viewers when they ask about reinforcements!!
Thanks!!
well after this i think I am ready to beat the ottomans as ulm
beat ulm as ottomans*(maby)
Normally you should beat the Ottomans without any tactic in only a few months...
@@Prof_Dr_col What?! Please expand.
@@gavins9846 The Ottomans will just give up after a few months because of you beeing Ulm

I really needed that, I always use just 2 big stacks.
I just think that Napoléon loose the battle of Waterloo because he didn't follow this guide
his artillery got in the front row, and the square infantry, why did it have to be the square infantry
Prussians reinforced
@@RyanPHoferJrdidn't he had column infantry and English had square?

whenever i watch these guides i feel like i'm going to be a strategy game master... at least until i boot up the game and realise i'm still bad at it.
Daaang, didn't know you could shift consolidate. This is gonna save me a lotta ducats

Okey, perhaps I treated you too harshly... It is only that I really want to know how to be efficient with estates, and there are not videos on that...
