CUT HAIR STRAIGHT "STEP BY STEP" do it yourself "
I teach you girls how to cut your own hair straight at home in an easy way.
Remember it is best to cut little by little since you'll always have a chance to cut some more. This way you'll remain a straight cut by leaving a bit more hair to the sides. If you have layers don't cut them from the top but leave them straight under along the other hair.
Use a comb and the scissors for cutting to get the best result.

This works! The smoother and flatter you can get your hair to your head, and the tighter the hair tie, the better!! Use two thick rubberbands (better grip), one for the first tie at the base of the head, and the second about two inches lower for extra assurance the hair won't shift when you pull the hair forward to cut. and then just use a regular hair tie for your cutting guide so you can slide it to the right location
yes!!! it does work! I did it, then divided my hair down the middle and slid hand down to trim and even up the edges and I love it!

I did this 18 months ago. I was somewhere around middle back, and I cut it to about arm pit length. Except I didn't wet it, I just straightened it. It's a very clean cut, I only had to neaten up a few strays. I'm already back at hip length. I still use this method to micro trim 1.5cm off every few months.
I have cut my long hair using this method many times. Beauticians don't want us to know because it is so easy and turns out great.
I did this today (being the Fall Equinox)...and it works great...so know I never have to go to pay someone money...I know hiw to cut it myself straight and layers...thanks a bunch

Brilliant. Just followed this and managed to take about 4 inches off the bottom and straight too. I used the scissors to cut into the ends vertically too to soften the edges.
Thats really the key, DONT try or expect to get it super perfect blunt w/out help who knows what they're doing! I learned that the hard way basically scalping my friend in Cosmo School🤣 Lucky her she looked cute in a bob lol

I really like the look of this video...I am just terrified to try it on my self, I have ombre on the ends of my hair will it still look ok if I just trim a little bit of it off. I really loved this tutorial and it seems very simple for people with hair on the thinner side, but it's kind of difficult to just take my thick hair off in one snip and have it be perfectly straight. Could anyone help me out with this?

+Reyna A I hppe this makes sense: My hair is really thick too, I divided my hair into 2 sections: 1 upper, 1 lower, I followed the steps on the lower section, then i let the upper one down and followed the steps again, using where i had previously cut as a guideline.
Exactly. i cut my hair this way by tieing them first and still they are not the same length. i guess my hair is thick.
Reyna A to the poiny tail at the nape then do 3 seperate ponytails from that one ponytail. As if to braid hair. Cut one end at a time. Make sure the 3 are equal lengths before removing the ponytail at the nape
I saw a video a couple of years ago and used it to cut my hair perfectly. Since then, I couldn't remember the video, so tried to cut it on my own, and I've butchered it twice. Thank you for this video. I'll try again once it grows out some. I trimmed and trimmed this last time trying to get it straight until it's almost up to my shoulders now from mid-length. I'm just devastated.
I've done the same. It will grow back before you know it!
