Can someone explain how any of these cards are worth anything if they always get sold less than what the most recent comp is? I can't wrap my head around that concept for some reason

Same Idea as stocks, people are always trying to make money. Ebay has fees, so buying a card for $85% of the last ebay sale, is almost the same as if someone sold it on ebay.

@@ralston2077 So does the last sold number on ebay include the extra %15 eBay fee in the price? Sorry for the dumb questions. Just trying to figure it out. For example, If i bought a card for $200 and the most recent comps on it were $195/$210 ish, should I be expecting to always loose money in that case if the standard is 85%?

They don’t always get sold for less than comps. You also have to remember a lot of people trade so even though the sold a $120 card for $100 , they might only have $80 into those cards. They made money and now the next person can make money.

Or they may have pulled the card out of a $10 pack so they make even more. Who knows?
