Wemby cards are one torn ACL away from being bargain bin cards. Five championships, four MVP’s and a HOF induction are already factored into the price.
I don’t think “priced in” is actually a thing. It’s just price discovery, although agreed the hype couldn’t possibly be higher. Like Hakeem was way better than Barkley or Shaq, Duncan was obviously better than Iverson and Iverson has no chips, Duncan was probably better than Kobe….but none of that stuff really matters, their price ranges related to each other have been decided
That dealer is the perfect example of why you should do your due diligence and not always take their word on a comp. There are dealers I trust, but if I were seeing that big of a difference between comps and their asking price,I'd likely walk away from their table. When I first got back into the hobby a few years ago, a dealer sold me a Lewis Hamilton card. He told me it was comping for around $20. I took his word for it and got roasted. The card was literally selling for .99 cents.
Ya can’t trust random tables (strangers) at all. I’ve been back for good year now after long time away from hobby so mostly know what ballpark a lot of cards should be. So if priced WAY above won’t really bother asking about them and move on to next table. Show I just was at dude said he would pull up comps to check on his price (I already did) and he said comps were like $50 and not even close was like $20 or $30 so he lowered price from his original asking but still lied like crazy about comps. It’s like people don’t think everyone has phones. Always check yourself unless have done multiple deals with person and they have always been fair. And even then better he have a good idea it’s in ballpark.
I never understood this at shows dealers say a dealer pays 70 percent on a 100 dollar card so that’s 70 bucks then someone ask to trade with them and they bring a card worth 140 well the dealer will charge the customer the 100 and then pay 70 percent on the 140 card so they make the 30 dollars on the original card on top of the 45 from the trade then trade the 140 card for a 200 dollar card at 70 percent makes hes 60 plus the the 75 all off a a card that started at 100 sounds like double dipping to me

Bargain bin? Not even close. His stuff would remain steady (obviously go down a little bit) even with an injury.

You should try flea market, yard sale, garage sale for sports cards. You might get a great deal there.
An Orange Scoot sold for $10 recently BO. Good card to grade 👍
These greedy dealers are costing them selves sales by trying to rip people off. They need to realize they will make more money by being honest.
True that........
I think that A&G Joe was backwards bc it's one of the SPs BTW.
Skenes does $50-$60. Spot on there.
@@TheTools3 last 3 are $36, $47, and $41. Not as bad as I thought but still not $60.
@@502frank7 depends how you search. I’m seeing $51, $61, $63 and $67 by searching “Paul Skenes purple ice.”
Holiday not even having a bad year. Downright dreadful.
.179 avg, .553 OPS, 0.1 WAR. Not exactly the start to his career that was predicted.
No but also not the worst I mean he’s not even 20
But he hit a grand slam!

People don’t have to trade or sell to dealers.
good dealers on stuff in that 20-500 range unless sonething is superliquid or trading up or down do 100 for 100
You seem to balance expensive cardboard and family time well
