Thank you! You know I love to tinker and create something fun. I can't wait for you to see them perform properly, instead of on a table in the dining room. LOL
Thank you! My carts are 28 inches wide, and at a few points, they push open door that have a 1.5" bumper on each, so that makes for a 31" wide opening at some points. But most of the time I have at least 36" wide hallways incase of a stalled cart and we need to walk past it. Also so guests don't get their feet caught between the cart and any walls. Thanks for reaching out!
Hey hellowww Eric! here Anne, from Holland. i have watched your video's many many times, so i can pickup some ideas from your dark ride. i gonna make also a dark ride, with some kind of system, you also make. i make it a little harder than yours, because i use 2 arduino boards, 1 for the panel, and 1 for the cart. i have my panel board hooked up, with wires, and with knobs and lights etc. and it works properly. now it is the question how to connect these 2 arduino, to send and receive data, tot start or stop those motors. the only difference between your project and the mine, is that i make it from wood, and you with iron. i am not the best technician of the world as you, but i can a little bit programming with arduino, and wired myself the panel up. i will gonna use also as yours, some infrared sensors, from ali express, they are around 3 euros for 10 pieces xD. can you explain me the amps the wiper motor uses for your project? i bought a worm gear motor, with 12 volt, is that enough you think? and what is the max sunlight the sensors can handle? do you have some tips and tricks? how much weight have your carts? i used an plywood plate, with some casters under the plate, and i will attach a 12v 350w brushed motor on the cart, and attach a wheel at the axis. enough talking, i love how you make all this, and i hope that my project also will succeed as yours. i have a form of autism, and i lived in a care institution, with other residents. it going slow, but that enough for me, so that i can handle it, in my brain, because of my autism. i love to hear from you. kindly, kindly regards, from holland, Anne Schepers.
Hello Anne and thank you for watching my videos! Building the cart out of wood works well. I have seen a couple of versions of my cart built from wood and they work great! My cart can hold more than 600 pounds. Bue we try to limit it to 600 max. 12 volts should be plenty. I don't know how much current the wiper motor is using, but a small 12V12Ah battery lasts several days worth of testing without showing a lack in performance. Besides, the motor only turns on to correct for steering - so it's small bursts of power draw. Sunlight? That is a tough question. But I have seen even the setting sun interfere with the sensors. However, I have seem them work fine on a bright day as long as the area had shade from direct sunlight. Adding flat black tape, like gaffer's tape helps this tremendously. Arduinos - That is where I have very little experience. I do know that wireless modules exist for Arduino projects and you may be able to use separate addresses for multiple modules. But I am afraid I have no knowledge of how those would be connected or programmed. For my main motor, I use a 400watt 24volt motor and transaxle from a mobility scooter. I hope this helps! Thank you reaching out.
Your Taylor Swift is very fun! I've included a link to the servo that I used for tilt motion. Your videos remind me that I really need to add movement to the arms of my characters. LoL amzn.to/4bs2ujF
Insanely good as usual - so much detail and so much effort - outstanding as always
Tish Pshaw Nonsense! I mean, thank you! I hope you get to see it sometime. Also the model coasters I have collected over the years....
Always great work, my friend. You never cease to amaze with your creativity and execution of your projects!

Looking good as always Eric!!!!!
Thank you so much! I will be adding the raven to them this year (I hope) and we will be introducing a new song (maybe two).
Edith is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.
Thanks.. I think. I'm not so sure that's a compliment, LOL
But I'll take it!
Nice job!Im building my ride, but I have a quesiton. How big should the corridors of the dark ride be? (I have got 18 m2) Thanks! I love your ride!

What is the servo used for the lean forward? And what forum are you posting this for?

I think it was Haunter Hangout or DIY animatronics pages on Facebook
What servo are you using?
Howdy!
These are they:

If you end up using some, I'd love to see what you make!
