I'm following your tutorials since I started to use QGIS about a month ago. Thanks to your clear and edicational videos I managed to reach high quality results in short time. I'm amazed, considering, hmm my age, and that my background is only mechanical engineering with zero previuos knowledge about cartography. Thank you!
Some feedback -- I would caution against using map themes without further understanding. If you don't have your map locked in print layout, you can do some destructive thing by turning themes on and off it seems? Since they turn layers on and off. I'm now needing to recreate a legend because of this.
Thanks for the tutorial! I'm just having a problem when exporting the layout. I don't understand why the labels get really small, despite the size I define in the canvas. Even in the layout view, I see them big. But then when I export it, small again... Any suggestion on how to fix it? Thanks!
Thank you so much! I learned a lot through you videos, best QGIS tutorials in youtube! I was wondering if you are familiar with the semi-automatic classification in QGIS (for waterbodies, like lakelevels for example) ?? would be interesting! lovely greeting!
Hi thanks for the video tutorial and your explanations are very easy to follow and great. Could you also tell me how to add coordinate grid in the layout thanks Vijay
Bonjour !!! Je souhaiterais comprendre comment faire pour parvenir à ce stade. C'est à dire je veux comprendre comment réaliser une carte de Bassin versant.
Hi. In QGIS 3.4: first drag the box to cover the part of the paper where you want the map. Then click the "Move item content" button and use the scroll of your mouse to zoom in/out on the map. With Ctrl-Scroll you can make smaller steps. Then you can also fine-tune using the scale value as shown. In newer versions of QGIS there are some new buttons in the item properties of the map. See this video: ruclips.net/video/VnmZob59TPc/видео.html
A grid is only necessary if (1) you want to use the map in the field. In that case you also have to mention the projection on the map, otherwise it's useless, (2) if your organisation or a publisher really wants it. Otherwise it distracts from the contents and is not useful. For orientation a locator map is much nicer.

Yes, it's a great plugin. Luca Congedo (the developer) has a lot of tutorials for it: fromgistors.blogspot.com/

Sir, Thank you for the very detailed workflow for map design. Can we save the design for future use (like the styles). Thank you
The print layouts are saved in the project file.

Thanks so much! One easy question: How do you adjust the box to fit the map? I lost track of where the mouse went at 2:10 😅

@@HansvanderKwast Thanks a lot!!:)
Sir, why don't you use gird and coordinates to the map? Is it not necessary?
