- Just bought a new Canon Pixma TS3400 series printer? This video shows you how to get it working from your computer via wi-fi.
You should load the ink cartridges before you begin though. There is a separate video on my channel that shows you how to do this. I hope this helps!

Thanks for your tutorial! That is exactly the way I setup my TS3450 the first time around and it didn't work. My pc would tell me, that it couldn't connect to the printer. When I repeated the setup, it suddenly worked. Although my pc did setup a second Ts3450 printerprofile, which it then used. I then just deleted the printerprofile, I setup up first and which didn't work.

So, when you have a laptop that you can easily take anywhere in the world, and a printer that can print wirelessly, why would you bother going from one room to another again and again? Gotta appreciate your efforts on this one, bravo!!!
There wasn't enough room on my desk for the printer - I had to make do before the printer was set up in a separate room ;-)

No problem. But if you are already connected to wi-fi you should be able to print. If you aren't able to, then yes, go through the whole sequence because it will add the necessary software to control it.

Basically the same as for the Canon 5000 series.
When I first installed it it did not work by WiFi via the router. I tried the direct WiFi to the printer without going via the router. It worked, but the connection was often lost when I was scanning large files. So I began using it via cable.
Sometime along the way the Internet-Provider gave us a new router and I tried it again with that one. It works perfectly. Works equally perfectly with two other computers in the house.
Conclusion: Don't give up the printer if it does not work - it could be your router that is causing the problem.
That's a good tip! There are quite a few variables that can adversely affect function.

Hello and thank you for the video. That was very well done. Do you also know which settings you have to make on the printer if you have a new wifi router that you then want to reconnect to the printer? Thanks very much!
Not off hand. But the printer will disconnect if you get a new router. That means that you will have to follow the steps on your Laptop again to reconnect to the new one. It's the same the first time you connect.

It's so difficult to diagnose if I can't see the problem. Couldn't you bypass the download and just connect directly then? I'd be interested to hear what happened :-)
Hi, Is it good for long term use printer?
Not really. It is at the lower end of the scale. But if you look after it, it should be good for quite a few years.
It’s not working
It says setting up network connection is temporarily disabled and after waiting for few min then it says connection failed
Crikey, it is very difficult to troubleshoot when I can't actually see the set up. Please make sure that the printer is not using a wired connection whilst you are trying to set-up wireless. It cannot do both. Another thing to check is that the printer and computer are connected to the LAN side (same network segment)
it is currently 11:20 pm in Canada - This video says set up for TS3400 series .But on the video you say TS3450 set up is for ?? I need the wireless instructions for TS3400 . Please help I need to know which app to use on my iPhone so I can use wifi to print pics off my phone . I need pics for my family court case this is VERY important - please HELP TIA

mine is flashing e, 0, 4 ive been suspecting that im out of ink is that why?
No idea unless I can see the error code. Try re-calibrating it first then change the ink
Mine won’t work wireless.
It should do if the router is set up properly and you follow the instructions I gave. I can't troubleshoot without seeing the setup, but make sure the printer is not connected by wire. It can't do both at the same time. Good luck.

Didn't work for me. I've run through this about ten times now, and the printer can't find the network, and the network cannot find the printer.
It's tricky to advise without seeing the problem. But sometimes it's something simple like selecting the wrong printer in a list.

My printer is stuck on printer status?
It's so tricky trying to diagnose if I can't see the problem. I can only advise starting from scratch by telling your laptop to forget the original printer connection and then searching for it again.
I can't begin to tell you how much I HATE this printer. pure trouble. Way noisier than any printer I've had before. Rarely works properly. But thanks for the instruction video - better than anything Canon has come up with.

i got 5g and i just bought this old piece of crap
Ok, 5G is not Wi-Fi. Your printer will need Wi-Fi. Have you got a router in your house?
@@drmousette i do but its in switch mode, because my cat5 comes from a switch about 300meters away. how do i log in to a router thats in switch mode?
my router/switch is 2.4g and 5g. but when ii use the 2.4 it fails every time. its probably a setting ?
