Honestly one of my favorite things about this movie it's just the fact there's no real villain It's just people trying to do their jobs if some people happen to like doing those jobs more than others then so be it
The funniest part with Cobra Bubbles is that they put a bandaid on his neck, just like Marsallas Wallace
Lilo is a neurodivergent icon. But because of that she doesn’t understand when Nani tries to gently tell her they’re gonna be separated, so Nani sings her “aloha ‘oe” which is a farewell song, I’m sobbing
And the white Lei (the flower necklace) she put on Stitch represents love. That was either a quick thinking way to calm him down or she was genuinely trying to show him like “I love you and will care for you so maybe relax” lol
No one at Disney has definitively confirmed that Lilo is autistic, but I think anyone on the spectrum or who has kids on the spectrum can easily tell that Lilo shows all the traits of a child with autism. Stitch is also a metaphor for all the stereotypes of someone with autism (he’s intelligent and can think 100 times faster than a computer but is an out of control monster). Kids who are removed from their homes and go through the foster system also often suffer from autism or other mental disorders and are “difficult to raise” so the movie as a whole really does touch on the plight and struggles that neurodivergent kids go through.
@SagaciousSilence she also shows signs of any child that has been through trauma, losing her parents in the accident. The lashing out, the isolating herself, unable to relate to peers, etc.
one of the best Disney Renaissance films!! Honestly the best Disney films that came out were released between the early 90's to early 2000's. Lilo and Stitch, Lion King (and the 2nd tbh), Hercules, Mulan, Treasure Planet, Pocahontas, Tarzan, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Aladdin, Brother Bear, Emperors New Grove, etc! The list just keeps going for how many fire bangers they had back to back to BACK!
I actually kind of forgot about Brother Bear, but, yeah, that one was really good too. Don't know how I forgot it.
An Underrated Movie From That Era: ATLANTIS: THE LOST EMPIRE!!!
The Disney renaissance was from 1989 to 1999, so it did not include Lilo and Stitch, which made far less than the other films prior. However, as an adult, Lilo and Stitch and the Emperor's New Groove are a few Disney films I can watch still.

grew up watching it and love it plus the second one and the original tv series and the last movie
That speech Stitch gives the Grand Councilwoman gets me every time: "This is my family. I found it all....on .... my own. It's little and broken, but still good. (looks back at Nani and Lilo) Yeah....still good." 🥺😭
Also, to answer your question on how David "spit" fire: Fire dancers drink (but most importantly, don't swallow) either kerosene or paraffin lamp oil from a bottle and spit it out onto the flame to make it erupt, so that's most likely what he used.

@@MATERNATION92x As cool as fire dancing looks, I'd honestly rather learn to hula. I'm not brave enough to risk swallowing a flammable liquid to entertain people with fire.
@@Rainbow.Pegacorn.Cosplay :) True, though some people drink almost pure alcohol which is also pretty flammable. So that fact alone isn't that dangerous. However paraffin or kerosene is a lot more toxic. Though stricly speaking alcohol is also toxic, so....

My favorite Disney character. 💙🧡❤️ This movie came out in '02. Both Lilo & Stitch are what most would consider an outsider, which is why I love them.

Easily one of my top 5 Disney films!! I quote it often and I have a "ohana means family" necklace from my guy bff!! Also stitch cuz he stitches lilo's family back together!! ❤

I get why they changed it but it’s still weird seeing Lilo hiding behind a pizza box instead of in the clothes dryer.
Me too. Plus, I have understood that they censored 🤬 hiding the clothes dryer is not safe for children. Otherwise, they don’t want children to repeat 🔂 it to the next generation.
I had the DVD when I was younger andi always remembered the cloths dryer. I didn't know they changed it until I started watching reactions.

Something some may not know is that the scene where they are being chased towards the end had to be changed cause it was done to be more of a city but that’s around when 911 happened so the scene was changed to look like the mountains
My family went to Disney world in 2019 and we met him , the person who played the role did a great job , doing their Halloween events stitch would come out dressed as the Elvis stitch but we didn’t see that one ..
he Also had a ride but it had closed down because it wasn’t as popular as Disney had hoped it would be , it was closed when we went but that’s where they had the meet and greet of him still :)

The big problem with current Disney animated films is that they've completely gone over to CGI. It really takes away from the charm.

12:53 fun fact: the laundry 🧺 room is censored 🤬 by Disney +, because they plastered the cupboard with the pizza 🍕 cardboard 📦 instead of hiding 😶🌫️ the dryer machine. Plus, it’s not safe to hide the dryer machine in real life.
There were also destruction references that were changed because of 9/11 sensitivity.
