WOW! I grew up in an old school Christian home, with 5 brothers and an extremely tuff Dad. That means the last time i cried was when i was 5. The part where Andria worked with Marcus was so powerful. @Twon Irwin I have been in your shoes. Its crazy because most of my life I have been happy go lucky. During the winter months I have seasonal depression real bad. I have to remember to take my antidepressants (natural) a month before to help get thru. What has helped me is God's Word. He tells us to chose joy. When I first learned that I'm like well how the hell does that work with the world falling down all around me. I tried though, I mean what could it hurt, right. So I wake up in the morning and say out loud 'Today I chose joy for myself. I did it day after day, some days still got crappy and then I got down. That happened enough that I would just sit and cry angry my joy left. Thinking about it, I discovered that in a way I made a choice to be in a different mood. Once I learned that about myself I could stop and reclaim my joy. Sometimes people upset me-they would anger me, hurt me and again I'd lose my joy. I learned quickly that I wasn't going to let people take my joy. Am I always filled with joy 24/7? No. But, since I have started this my life is so much better, happier. I do also want to say that there us a lot of comfort in the Lord. He loves us unconditionally. No one else loves us like he does. You may want to go to him. I'd be happy to talk with you privately. I'm sorry for you loss. I understand that as well. Take your time going thru any mourning process. Big hugs

Just found this through your other channel and this is first one I saw.... 19 years ago a drunk hit me and wife on our motorcycle. I lost everything...career in LE, home, savings. There were some VERY dark days and still are. Body has suffered mass trauma and 39 surgeries to date. This is the kind of post we need more of. Thank you so much for this! Dear John, I hope you are doing well. I had the same thing happen to me, but at least I was in a car ... I don't know how drunk drivers live with themselves. I've only had 8 surgeries to date but I lost everything too - including my husband. I've really had to work hard to stay out of "The Abyss" - but my faith in God has been my solid rock. Things do happen for a reason, and I believe I'm a far better person than I was 20 years ago when my accident happened. I hope that you can feel that way about your own experience. There are so many things that I could say about this... my whole life I have struggled with negativity and abuse from those around me, to a point where now it physically sits wrong within me when people give me positive comments. I do things for people, and despise being thanked. I used to write stories, but having people tell me they were good made me want to delete them all because it made me sick.
FYI: Please don't hear me in judgement. But, I see this a block to Peace. God is Awesome, Jesus Christ is the Way to Life. The thing that could help is to change your handle, little dragon. @Twon Irwin I have been in your shoes. Its crazy because most of my life I have been happy go lucky. During the winter months I have seasonal depression real bad. I have to remember to take my antidepressants (natural) a month before to help get thru. What has helped me is God's Word. He tells us to chose joy. When I first learned that I'm like well how the hell does that work with the world falling down all around me. I tried though, I mean what could it hurt, right. So I wake up in the morning and say out loud 'Today I chose joy for myself. I did it day after day, some days still got crappy and then I got down. That happened enough that I would just sit and cry angry my joy left. Thinking about it, I discovered that in a way I made a choice to be in a different mood. Once I learned that about myself I could stop and reclaim my joy. Sometimes people upset me-they would anger me, hurt me and again I'd lose my joy. I learned quickly that I wasn't going to let people take my joy. Am I always filled with joy 24/7? No. But, since I have started this my life is so much better, happier.
I do also want to say that there us a lot of comfort in the Lord. He loves us unconditionally. No one else loves us like he does. You may want to go to him. I'd be happy to talk with you privately.
I'm sorry for you loss. I understand that as well. Take your time going thru any mourning process.

Dear John, I hope you are doing well. I had the same thing happen to me, but at least I was in a car ... I don't know how drunk drivers live with themselves. I've only had 8 surgeries to date but I lost everything too - including my husband. I've really had to work hard to stay out of "The Abyss" - but my faith in God has been my solid rock. Things do happen for a reason, and I believe I'm a far better person than I was 20 years ago when my accident happened. I hope that you can feel that way about your own experience. I went back in my mind to talk to the younger me, he told me to STFU. lol. I may have deeper issues...
There are so many things that I could say about this... my whole life I have struggled with negativity and abuse from those around me, to a point where now it physically sits wrong within me when people give me positive comments. I do things for people, and despise being thanked. I used to write stories, but having people tell me they were good made me want to delete them all because it made me sick.
