it takes so much organization to be the shop owner, the chef, the server, and the cleaner all at the same time. I can't imagine serving 10 persons all at once.
Visited today and it was great. I really liked the red ramen. The chef had his staff today but he still does all the cooking. His movements amazed me, I feel like he can make a bowl of ramen with his eyes closed. The gyoza was on another level. It was cooked on the teppanyaki grill. So far, one of the best gyozas I’ve had here in Tokyo. The chef is so nice and when I mentioned I saw him here on Paolo’s video, he said the fire topping is free. I bought Paolo’s hot sauce too. Can’t wait to try it 🥹🥰
@@jessicamompoint1849 Hi Jessica! I was with my husband and he speaks Japanese. But I think the chef speaks English well. He asked me in English if I’d like an apron and a hair tie. And then when I mentioned that I saw him on Paolo’s channel, he said the fire topping is free 😀 Enjoy Tokyo!
@@PaolofromTOKYO Thank you for your amazing videos and recommendations! We tried the hot sauce and they’re really good. Husband loves the Premium one, I love the Umami Ocean one. 🌶️
Bro looks really comfortable around the camera. He got the star quality. He doesn't have much worker but I thought I see one still what a machine. He can probably accomodate foreigners with no problem too because he used to work in Hawaii.
Paolo, can you start asking the shop owners if they have their own Instagram/RUclips/Patreon accounts and leave their links? I think everyone would happily follow them and it would be good for their businesses. ❤
As far as I've seen, Paolo links the shop's social media in the video description if they have one, in addition to Google Maps pins, official websites, and addresses.
Goto San's motions while he works are the art of efficiency. When somebody is so good like that it is a pleasure to just watch him do basic things. Best of luck Goto San, and thanks Paolo for taking us along to visit.
Your Day in the Life videos always catch my attention. The people running these Ramen shops especially. They work so hard to make a living and he is opening a new location, which is excellent. They are so great at what they do!
Your day in the life of videos are probably my favorite videos on RUclips. I have never heard of a fire ramen shop until now. I'm a huge fan of spicy foods as well and now I gotta find one. Your hot sauce is really good. I've ordered 2 of the hot and 1 of the mild.
You're my favourite Japan content creator right now! Your 'day in the life' and 'behind the counters' are such a fun Slice of Life into Japan! These are basically 15 minute ads for a business I can't visit and I love them!
Japanese are hard working and dedicated people. It reminds me one of the sushi restaurants in an ally in Kyoto. The chef does everything himself in his small restaurant
Another place added to my list of potential places to go to when I eventually make my trip to Japan. I live for spicy food and would definitely go for the "Send me to Heaven" level.
Wow. The interaction with this shop owner was great. You are so respectful and this is a beautiful presentation of his work. He has quite a different personality than other individuals on your channel. This is one of my favorite “Behind the Counter” episodes ever. Thank you both. 💕
He is amazing!!! He shops, he cleans he cooks and have time for offerings! He looks so calm and concentrate! The dishes omg looks delicious!!!!!!! Protect this man at all costs. He is handsome and amazing! おめでとう
Another great episode! When you said "fire" ramen, you meant it. I've never seen ramen served actually flaming! Looks delicious, but I do have my spice limit. I ordered your Umami Ocean hot sauce and it arrived in the mail just two hours ago and I can't wait to try it!
I love your videos! Just stumbled on your channel but it's so fascinating to catch a slice of life from across the world! So cool that what they probably consider mundane is so different to us!
I’m not a spicy food eater, but I’d go to him just to watch his work ethic. Man. Japanese people n their steam to work nonstop on their own. I applaud it👏🏼
what a cool guy, one of the first ones that also asks back to Paolo questions about him, that's a good way to also know you. On my next visit to Japan 2026, I will try to stop by this place for sure, straight to my favorites.
Goto-san is just amazing with his techniques and skills in running the shop by himself. I have low tolerance on spicy foods but I would love to try their fire ramen coz I love ramen! Best of luck to Goto-san
Thank you for the video @PaolofromTOKYO! I have a video idea. I don't think you've had a video about a noodle production or a ramen shop that makes its own noodles. (I am not entirely sure, but I think a ramen shop once made its own noodles.) There are so many types and kinds of noodles, it would be really interesting.
Wow the food looks amazing, if I ever visit Tokyo I have to remember to visit this shop. And I’m so impressed the chef is able to handle all that work by himself 😮
Yeppp and thats why alot of them fail in the US because its supposed to be a comfort food like fast food fried chicken. Not gourmet food or that fusion bullshit alot of american chefs tend to throw out there and you still have to tip on top of that 🙄
He could send me to heaven with these Ramen every day! :) Love spicy food, from Jalapeno over Habanero and Jolokia to the Reaper, had them all and wish I could eat more of it - but my girlfriend doesn't like it at all...
I am definitely going to check this place out, looks slammen!!!! Thank you again for the great content and I always ensure to get good pointers before coming back to Japan.

This.
Real.

Paolo is awesome
Agree I skip the other series Paolo seems to me a very stupid person imo not trying to be rude tho.

He was quick, yet unhurried, a definite pro

Ramen is cheap in Japan and labour is just as cheap... he's probably better off working his butt off to keep more of his yen in his pocket
