I've always said, ALL engineers should be craftsmen first, before they ever get to design anything. You think Ford is bad? I think all Ford engineers quit and went to work for Caterpillar.....
For work I drive an Isuzu cab over. Washer reservoir is in the dash. Almost completely vertical cap. So, take a flexible hose from a DEF jug, screw it on to the washer jug, and voila! 😉
It’s got to be a parts bin special. If the engineers were smart they would make a spout extension just big enough to hold the weight of a gallon as it’s filling up. So that you’re not soaking wet leaning over the tire and have time to get the next jug ready.
My 2001 Ford Taurus had a teacup-sized washer fluid tank which had to be refilled after 1-2 uses of the window washers. Apparently Ford truck engineers couldn't be bothered to think about truck operators either.
They hire 5 year olds in China to engineer their cars with crayons and scrapbooks. But the kids eat the crayons and tear up the books so they just take old stock and put it together somehow.
The problem is the supplier and designers are stupid the GM oil caps are horrible as well but you should carry around $1 funnel for your entertainment hahaha
I was gonna reply honestly about the big 3 manufacturers and how nonsensical their engineering decisions are but my blood pressure is raising just thinking about it. Keep the rubber side down!
Yep but since that its been all down hill , 6 litre diesel is a desaster waiting to happen , the triton , he'll they couldn't make the plugs stay in that , the timing chains ? Well ,crap , who put a rubber drive belt in the sump , ford of course , anything built after 2005 is trouble .
Chevys owners are allergic to the smallest amount of work I hope you never have to do anything as hard complicated and challenging as changing your oil you’d have a heart attack
I don't think they are dumb, they just don't care.
There is also the possibility that the engineers are secretly working for the competition and are trying to sabotage the reputation of FORD.
@@timberray9572 lol
My dad always said that with a Ford you have to remove the radiator in order to replace a tail light.
Pretty damned close to true
I was a lifelong GM guy, but I got tired of watching my trucks just rust away so I bought a Ford.
@timberray9572 - I've been running Ford pick-ups since 1981, but they are a PITA to work on
Lucky you can still even find the crappy paper funnels anymore
It's because the people who design cars don't work on or maintain them and just don't care
And right next to all the electrical connectors too
They want you to go back to the Dealership to add Fluid😂🤣🤣
Ford makes a special funnel they want you to buy
All for the low cost of $95 probably.
I've always said, ALL engineers should be craftsmen first, before they ever get to design anything. You think Ford is bad? I think all Ford engineers quit and went to work for Caterpillar.....
What kind of engineers the ones that put water pumps inside the motor ran by timing chains
Or a rubber band driving the oil pump 😂
I love the Canadians!

That’s a good hack.

This truck only holds a gallon, I think Ford should hire a retired trucker to tell them what's up.
@ gotcha
All trucks are garbage these days
I actually love my regular truck, it's an International.
My 2001 Ford Taurus had a teacup-sized washer fluid tank which had to be refilled after 1-2 uses of the window washers. Apparently Ford truck engineers couldn't be bothered to think about truck operators either.
Big trucks should hold at least two gallons, this one only holds one.
I bet he carries a flexi funnel now just in case.
I normally drive an International, it's a much better truck all around. Thanks for watching.
bro has never seen a plastic funnel in his life
Ok Mr. Snowflake.
God Bless Canada

The way they’ve been making them lately, I wouldn’t buy one with Your money much less mine!
My workplace rents this truck, I have been trying to tell them to rent a proper 5ton.
Fords bean counters do come up with some dumb designs.
Use a transmission funnel.
I keep a funnel in the truck now.
Is enginerds supposed to be insulting? I’m not an engineer but I quite like that new word
An enginerd has book smarts, but lacks practical knowledge.
title says it all.......
That’s what I’m talking a-boot!
Eh!
All manufacturers have their problems, I was honestly more upset that the gas station I was at didn't have a single funnel for sale.
Ford can't design a snowball ....
Actually the 5.0 engine is one of the best engines ever made, my F150 has 400thousand kms and no issues.
If that's your worst complaint you don't have a complaint. Grow a set you're a drama queen.
Your Mom likes my set just fine.
There's a saying for setting time on old ford diesels compared to Chevy. On Chevy the driver is advanced, but ford the driver is retarded.
Ha ha.
I actually love my F150, for the most part.
long funnel at walmart 7$
The point is I shouldn't have to buy a funnel.
Chevys owners are allergic to the smallest amount of work I hope you never have to do anything as hard complicated and challenging as changing your oil you’d have a heart attack
You are right, I did get tired of wrenching on Chevy's, that is why I drive a Ford now.
Goto princess auto or Canadian tire and pick up a long funnel for 3.99 you donk.
I shouldn't have to, DONK.
Seems like you lack the same creativity you complain about. Create a solution if you’re so much smarter…make something.
Did I hurt your fragile feelings? I will call out bad engineering when I see it.
But who was paid for their "creativity"?
@@natelysy3114 People who drive for a living would really appreciate a more user friendly truck.
