Great job Dave. Action Mans answer to the Six Million Dollar Man. Was always a bit puzzled what the helicopter blades were for though.
My eldest brother had the Atomic Man, and I quickly grabbed him for my own long after he'd lost interest! One of my favorites, along with the Adventure Team 'Black Adventurer' & the Intruder.
I usually dip hands in water I have heated up, in a cup in the microwave, for about a minute and a half. After about a minute in the hot water they become much more pliable. You can also use a hair dryer on high on them. I also use this method for popping heads on and off modern G.i. Joe figures.
Hey Dave
Still finding the odd video of yours which I have not seen.
Always a good idea to watch them, as your skills/ideas can be transferred to almost any toy.
Take care 🙂
Absolutely brilliant 😀😀🎆🎇
Many thanks!
I had one of these, along with the very odd 'Bullet Man' figure. The fact that 'Atomic Man' only had one 'bionic' leg, always annoyed me. Was he meant to hop really fast? In the end, I just painted the leg a flesh tone, and left it at that. He was eventually swapped for a load of books with a school friend. Who blew him up with fireworks. (Sigh). Nice to see one again!
That’s funny but sad
😂😂😂😂😂 My old Action Men including a massive 12 inch Incredible Hulk were all boxed up and given to a Cub Scout Jumble sale when I was about 14 or 15. I was more into my Guitars and LPs so my Mum got rid of my toys. About a few weeks later, I found all my Action Men lined up in a wood with bullet holes through them. Some one used them for target practice. I was not impressed.
It's been a real trip down memory lane watching your action man series. I used to have quite a few of them when I was a kid, all gone now though. You have inspired me to maybe start collecting action men (maybe one or two) I think it would be a fun hobby & very nostalgic. I never owned an atomic man but I remember having a few catalogues with toys I wanted, & this was one of them, along with steve Austin bionic man. Love your channel. Subscribed.
Another good rescue. He's divisive among collectors but I think he looks great, still trying to find a rotorcoptor for mine.
+grimmyx22 I like it as a figure. It's odd enough to be cool.
Thanks for the great video. Have you ever repaired the pacemaker??
Damn! So many possibilities, with your knowledge I doubt you can't fix anything.
Green Lantern HG he can’t fix my half melted plastic soldier
another good job Dave he looks brilliant
Enjoyed this video and all the other Action man ones you have done Hope to see more in the Future keep up the good work ToyPolloi .
+MsLiamp Thanks. I have a few more filmed. I try to vary what I upload week to week.
The US Mike Power did not have The Atomic Heart Action Man does, I would like to find one.
great video Dave..
Another touchdonw !! Dave
Very good.
couldn't you have just ironed the decal right on the fabric? or wouldn't that work? l just thought it would have been easier than that extra step? but it still looks really good!
+GALAXIE 67 Not really. The iron on stuff is clear, so you wouldn't get the white needed for the bird.
oh, l didn't realize it was clear, l guss because of the white paper. thank you 😊
Another great video, very interesting
I have one of these in mint condition in its original box with documents as bought, would you be interested?.
Why does theWhy does the Palitoy version of Atomic Man look like the dude from Mungo Jerry?
I had the American one. Mine did not have that big button on his chest. Was his eye battery powered? (Mine just used a light piping feature.)
The same insignia was used on the German uniforms if you ever decide to use a vintage replacement.
+Someone Orother Thanks for the tip.
Same style insignia but different colour the Atomic Man one is Black to match his coverall.
Hi dave. I'm working on a custom 12 inch gi joe but need some replacement parts, especially hands. Do you know any websites that sells them ?
I get mine from sellers on ebay.
Does Atomic Man use the same blades as the TurboCopter🤔
No, they are different as they come in two parts.
@@toypolloi just realized he uses a "4 blade"( made of 2 parts joined ) vs the Turbo Copter having the "3 blade"...was checking the possible use as repairs surplus or substitute parts...
Great video ....how is best to fix Atomic mans loose arms and legs ? Is there a quick fix
What do you mean by loose? Does it just need restringing?
@@toypolloi
I just got an atomic man but with a standard fixed eyes head, his atomic arm and leg are loose.
Not a restring problem more loose by the joint.
I’m tempted to try and tap the rivit but don’t want to break him.
Any thoughts?
Mr.polloi, next time you're going to switch hands on your ACTION MAN FIGURES dump the new rubber hands in hot water for a couple of minutes.
I'm looking to make some replacement Go-Bot decals. Which version of Photoshop do you use? Is it the Creative Cloud (CC) version?
+yunoyuluvit I use cs5. Any will do.
Cheers, Dave. Happy Easter!
I can remember I had an action man in a red skimpy outfit with a cone on his head iirc. Was it anything to do with this one?
+Stephen Rushton Bullet man. I have yet to get one.
I've got two atomic men im trying to restore and I have noticed a hole in the top of his head does anyone know what this is for .plus the atomic pacemaker has a button on it does this do anything .if anyone can give me some advise I'd be great full.
The hole in the head has a clear bit of plastic that goes to the eye. Shine a light in the top and his eye lights up. The chest should click when you press the button.
Thanks dave great channel
Dave mine don't appear to have the clear plastic piece in the head could you recommend a lego piece to use and or modify thanks in advance .regards kev
Will you be doing any custom vintage Star Wars figures? ex: Blue Snaggletooth
Nice video though mr toy polloi it made my day when you commented on my video have a nice day man.
+Dr. BYx I have some ideas i want to film soon. And no problem, keep making the videos. Cheers.
Toy Polloi thanks man :)
Toy Polloi can't wait!
What kind of paint do you use for the eyebrows?
Acrylic. You'll see me paint them in many videos and I will show you want paints I use.
@@toypolloi It was an old video and I thought you wouldn´t answer. Thank you for the response :) I will check some more videos
Would any of the G.I. Joe parts work on these or were they different in the U.K.?
+Shannon Helton They should do. It's the same figure basically.
What do you think of the Action Man Battlefield Casualties VFP film?
+TheTWRModeller I love it!
+TheTWRModeller I love it.
I'm British
Dave, description says “resoration”. Need a T.
How do I get a set of these 'eagle-eye' hands?
who is this person?
Just search for replacement hands for action man.
Hmm,,copy of the 6 Million dollar man?
1975
Looks like he has thyroid problems with his neck.
