If you value that car put a new engine loom on it Soldering plugs onto a 30 + yr old wiring is false economy & frankly looks a mess.Often the cause of more headaches.

Never had any issues with most that have been soldered inn. A new loom is costly and time consuming. Most things are fixing issues as we go along. Customer possibly might go that route at a later date. But no need to replace a loom just for a damaged connector bud

rubbish nothing wrong with the wire back from the rotted pin plug and soldering in a new plug makes no difference to reliability if you know how to solder and stagger the joints and clean the silver/copper wire first. i have been a motorcycle electrician for over 30yrs rewiring and repairing loom harness issues. most problems are at the corroded pin connections not the wire in the loom. have also done just about every pin plug on my z32 on the engine, coil packs, injectors, coils, cas, temp sender, etc. it's the biggest let down on the VG30

@@Nismo65 What a cretins response. You work on bikes,Any imbecile can do that.Bikes have air flow ,no bonnet or inner wings to hold heat in .How can fixing a bike loom compare ? You really are a twat if you think it is a good fix for a 35 yr old car.The corrosion kills the ptu, injectors & all the other sensors,so tell me again how new plugs are cure. The pre 95 engine looms have a constant live,New looms have a fix for this so corrosion is not a problem.Anybody that thinks fixing wiring on a 35 year old car is clearly deluded.A new costs less than than £500.

i would of used a bit of heat from a propane gas torch around the housing of the jet screw and some spray i'm sure you would of got it moving because it looked like you put just a second hand one on anyway.

Did heat it up and managed to move it very so slightly. Not sure if it had been cross treaded by someone. Or just seized. I honestly thought it was newish, but had been painted. But the new 2nd hand one worked spot on with no issues.
