I’ve been playing for 7 years and I’m about in the middle of uncanny legends
If it wasn’t for seed tracking I would have stopped playing a while ago. Being able to get the good units is very nice, and it turns the capsule into a part of the game (you can strategize which units to get and stuff, which adds tons more depth to the game than pure rng). I _never_ find rng systems like this entertaining. I used to when I was younger, but nowadays I find it frustrating because I have literally zero luck and it takes me ages to get anything…
The only thing I would say is that you should only start tracking after you’ve already experienced getting some Ubers randomly (I already had quite a few Ubers and a legend rare before I started tracking) so you at least know how it is and how it feels before jumping in.
If you are ok with constantly losing things and feeling like your cat food is going to waste then don’t track, I guess.
(Btw I checked and when I started tracking I would have gotten like 10 repeat Ubers if I didn’t look)

I don't feel like this at all because I draw capsules for the excitement and fun of a random surprise, not because I care about getting meta units or shit like that. Although if I do get something good the dopamine is even better than a random one.

Lmao people act like seed tracking is like playing in creative mode or something but good luck getting 500 rare tickets to roll that dasli on the track you arent even on. Sure, you will feel excitement when you get a new unexpected Uber from *gambling* but it will quickly go away when you realize you got like White Knight Cyclops or something and it’s completely trash and unusable (hyperbole). In the long run, tracking will give you infinitely more joy than *g a m b l i n g* because you are able to do cool strats and use cool op units or cool non op units (tracking doesn’t give you only meta units bruh). Basically, regular capsule will give you some instant gratification if you are lucky, meanwhile tracking will make the game more fun, and I don’t know about you but I play my games for the _game_ part of gaming and not for the slot machine part.
Anyways enjoy your shitty Ubers while I use my absolutely awesome Balrog to destroy everything.
(Just wanted to add that I completely understand people that want to play the game the way it is intended and don’t track, but I made this comment in response to the video literally saying tracking is cheating and you shouldn’t do it, and also your comeback is the literal worse argument against tracking I have ever seen throughout my very long battle cats career)
if it werent for energy glitch i wouldve stopped playing a long time ago...which i did, several times, but energy glitch brought me back only just like a year ago and it saved the game for me, even with leaderships, the energy system blows, i hate having my playtime limited, i wanna be able to play as much as i want

Now imagine how terrible it would be if "this enemy has way too much hp, and a lot of range, does extreme damage, and makes sure to push forward with omnistrike, and also let's make it resist abilities (the one super important factor in the game) so you can't bully it from far away, and don't forget to put high movement speed on them so they reach you faster"... I mean that would make a terrible stage...

Seed-tracking is very demanding. You need hella tickets to make use of it and if you have a bad seed, it's simply not worth it. The best thing you get from tracking is knowing that you shouldn't spend catfood on that banner.

First of all, there are no "bad seeds". You can get phono, dkasli, etc in less than 50 rolls on any seed if you actually try (Collab swapping, new ubers)

the omni strike ability is the most misunderstood ability because the ability description isnʼt true, it says attacks ahead and behind the unit when this isnʼt always true like with filibuster cat and a bunch more, what it really means is that the unitʼs attack reaches further than itʼs range so it might walk close to some one but hit enemies behind it
treasures are insane, aliens go from 700% scaling to 100% scaling with maxed out alien treasures, it's not a bonus to your damage it's a mandatory wall

5:41 ok here's the entire lore written out. Cats take over the world, but it wasn't enough(Empire of Cats). They built a time machine and conquered earth in the future(Into the Future), then they tried to go back to thr present but were sent too far back in time, so they decided to hunt down ancient powerful minsters and force them to join the cat army(Stories of Legend), but at the end they accidentally found an ancient lab with even older and more powerful monsters, so they went even further back in time(Uncanny Legends), until they reached the point in time when, supposedly, human were used to create cats, which marked the origin of Cats(Revival of Origin)(note: may slightly inaccurate). After defeating the almighty ancestor of humans(Zero Luza I think?), the cat army found an ancirnt sage that wanted to help them and give them powerful gifts, so the cats went even further back in time to find that sage again(Zero Legends opening). Also, at some point during the Cats' adventures in SoL, Princess Cat found a magical seal and started studying it's powers, but before she finished her work, she was corrupted by the power of the Seals. The cat army wanted to save the princess and defeat that evil force, so they found the 3 seals and destroyed them, but that opened a portal to the Aku realm, where Mammon(iirc their name) ruled with the power of the seals, and prorected the stronger ruler of the Aku Realms, Jagando. When the cat army conquered the AR, they decided to basically kidnap Jagando's baby and raise it as a cat unit to fight with the cat army later on(Aku Realms lore is chaotic). Lastly, while travelling in Stories of Legend and Into the Future, the scientists of the cat army managed to create technology that would allow the cat army to travel between planets and worlds in the present, so the cat army decided to conquer space, until Cat God decided that they are messing up with the whole universe a bit too much and decided to stop them, but he lost. Thrice.(Cats of the Cosmos).

Battle cats is like a restaurant that serves simple, easy to make food. They don't try to add anything fancy or make the food using cheap and or frozen ingredients. All they do is make simple meals that taste good.
I would mostly recommend seed tracking if you are at the very late on the game. Mostly for collection purposes and on collabs where some of the reruns takes a long time to happen and want to get them all.(Fate Collab).
It's not like seed tracking will help you that much in the end on collabs and stuff, since if the cats are too far away then they're too far away.

Don't wanna promote dark magik too much as it completely shatters the value of catfood to those who realize its power, but it's possible to infinitely grind 900-1100 catfood per hour with gamafarming. Gamatoto is the broke collectioner's saviour.

Omnistrike also lets units hit farther forward allowing them to have a small extra range beyond where they start the attack
i wonder what battle cats would look like if catered more towards the conventional mobile game audience, whales. but it isnt. grinding is much better than paying for anything in the game, and i love it for that. even the conventional "premium" currency is easily grindable. basically everything is accessible to the non paying users.

Omni strike is more like LD without a blindspot, its not usually as big of a range as LD, at least not on units, on enemies sometimes they have insane levels of omnistrike, but say like an omnistrike unit has 400 standing range but then omnistrike makes their attack reach 500 range or something like that, omni isnt just attacking behind all though im pretty sure it originally was introduced that way specifically for iron legion ubers and countering burrowing zombies

(fair warning: considerable amount of gacha game rant ahead + battle cats praising)
I've scrolled around in the gacha game department for a long while, and I've seen people saying how good or "perfect" their predatoy games are, but almost all of them (except Limbus Company, a gacha game I actually like playing, and maybe 1 other game?) tend to use a very tiresome tactic - sexual appeal. While it's not entirely bad (certainly not my cup of tea, but even then I remain neutral to it), majority of gacha games take it very fair. You literally only play to get the characters, and nothing else. The designs are oriented heavily on sexual appeal. There is just enough focus on the gameplay to not draw complaints but it's obvious they could do more. And people just ignore the predatory tactics these gacha games utilize so often... fear of missing out, sunk cost fallacy, the super easy purchases... The Battle Cats is different - while it does have some of the outlined gacha game flaws given it is a gacha game (added the stupid grind), the designs firstly arent focused on sexual appeal. They're just all cool in their own way. And you dont need to spend a single *BUCK* to beat the game, and theres *ZERO* hard progression walls that require payment (maybe some soft walls when you try SoL without all treasures). The gacha just makes the game easier, and stuff always come back (except for certain collabs, which have mostly trash units anyway), so the FOMO aspect is minimalized. Funny enough, these no gacha methods arent like super obscure and nigh impossible, they're feasible even for the average player with even just a little strategy. Among all things, its fun. Really fun. Paying money won't speed up your progress as much as you'd think, even if you whale maybe a thousand dollars (1600$ on the best cf purchase with no sales = 286 draws) you're not gonna speedrun the entire game. Sure, some ubers are stupidly OP with questionable balance and may be a slight exception to this (I'm with you Lucas IV, fuck dasli), but you STILL need to strategize heavily to win - restrictions require big brain strats, hard parts of the game like UL can't be beat with the same lineup like SoL & requires some changes for almost every stage (it can, but requires hella strategy/absurd unit boosting even with gacha), etc. Like oh my lord I could make an entire book on how different, how frustrating, and how lovable this game is. The care put into this game is so evident, and though it can be better, it's still the best at what it does. There's no game that can replace this hidden gem.
Cheers to the best gacha game of all time, and for one of the best, versatile mobile games of all time, too. We love The Battle Cats!

The "Perfect" Mobile Game?
I played for over 9 years and I can say the game is not that good.
Grind in this game is one of the worst of all gacha games. Energy System is bad and they don't give enough leaderships, unless you wanna use exploits to farm leaderships via shrine. Silver ticket and lucky ticket grind is ridiculous without exploit (energy glitch). Catseye grind is awful unless as I said many times already: you use exploit.
Dark Eyes ruined the game tremendously, JP version gets Labyrinth way more often than us, so we have to grind Barons or spend Catfood to get them. They lock some of the most OP units behind level 60, but why would you bother unlocking these Ultra Talents or Ultra Forms when you can just level 60 your Balrog or Dasli instead.
Collaboration events have huge uber pools without any way to guarantee specific collab units. Other gacha games have a mileage or pity system but BC has no such thing, so you have to rely on Seed Tracking to guarantee what you want, and that is again: an exploit. The Legend Rare drop chance being 0.3% with no way to guarantee it + having 2 collaboration Legend Rares is abusive game design. "Tracking is for LOSERS" you say, but it makes the game playable. Without it, the game is really abusive with the gacha.
Powercreep of units is insane, with Level 60 Ultra Talented / Ultra Form units breaking the standards of what is considered good anymore. So many ubers are outclassed and stage design is leading in the direction of having insanely high stats, whether that be through + levels on your Super Rares/Rares, or inflating their stats with talents.
Gameplay is genuinely great, and definitely the strongest point that this game has going for it, but there is no variety at all after 9 years. There has been barely any changes. All we got was Dojo and Labyrinth. The Colosseum seems interesting at least, and restriction stages are a good concept but a lot more could be done.
I haven't even brought up BEHEMOTHS or Sages yet, and I won't, this comment is already long enough. Just know there is PLENTY I could talk about.
I loved this game. Part of me still does, but after playing it for so long and seeing the direction the game has gone in, I am just so disappointed, and honestly I can't say this game is "Perfect", let alone great. It has many good aspects but they are outshone by the fact that the developers are so incompetent with balancing and understanding what a reasonable amount of grinding is. My common criticism you will notice is that this game is unbearable without exploits.

Cat Food is easy to get. There are so many branches to obtain it that you can collect 1500 in no time just by playing. Not to mention the fact that Ponos randomly do free cat food handouts on the menu screen all the time anyway.
And if you're so desperate for Uber Rares, just roll during the 100% chance events, it's easy.
Granted, I've been playing for a while but I have over 50 Uber Rares now, many of which I was actively looking for and had to persevere to get but eventually got them. I even have a Legend Rare, and I've not spent a single penny on the game.
So no, it's not "pay to win", and there are no 'good cats' which are locked behind spending real money.
