Bitter Sweet Song!! As you Know , this a Tribute to his Son Oh Passed away! It's Heartfelt when he Remembers chasing after his Boy, when he Refers to "Chase a Feather in the Wind"! And if you have a Child , You Know what That means! Bitter Sweet!😁😢

The name of the song is: "All My Love," and it's Robert Plant's tribute to his young son Karac, who died of a viral infection.

I’m so happy seeing so many young people reacting, & loving Led Zeppelin, they really were amazing artists. Robert Plant especially still writes & preforms, he’s made many solo albums, him & Jimmy Page toured together again. My first time seeing your reaction, I hope I see more of LZ reactions from you.

I’ve had The Rain Song keep coming back to mind for months. Funny how songs you haven’t listened to for a while can resurface.

You had the title correct the first time; it is All Of My Love (you can look it up :) ) This is one where you might want to look up the lyrics on your own time, if you haven't already. It's a tribute to his son who tragically passed when he was 5 due to a stomach virus. The lyrics are full of poetic imagery (for ex.)
"Should I fall out of love, my fire in the light
To chase a feather in the wind
Within the glow that weaves a cloak of delight
There moves a thread that has no end"
This song comes near the end of the band's career so it is a huge jump from where you had been. My recommendation is to start at the beginning of their catalogue so you can witness their musical maturity. Regardless of how you prefer to take your journey with Zeppelin, I'm here for it.

This song is from 1979 . you started out playing Zeppelin 1 from 1969 then Stairway Live in 75
It would be good to go back and listen to them in order ,no other reactor has

Looks like others have talked about what this song is about. It's also worth noting that they're older here than when they recorded the other tracks you've heard. You can really feel the hard lived years in between.

This song was written for Roberts son who sadly suddenly died when he was touring in 1977. He was just 5 I believe.
This is a bit of a jump as this was from their last album in 1979 so you’ve skipped along way ahead.
I would really recommend doing album order, to hear the full journey which brings context particularly to Plants singing style, but that’s totally up to you bro 👍

Thank you for identifying the originality of the musical component. Great positive read; back in the day bands competed with one another and were motivated to create unique sounds to distinguish themselves; with basic instruments and invention.

This tract is from 1979-rumor had it that Robert Plant had vocal chord surgery (nodes?, repair?) in late 1973 or early 74. So his voice was not as strong starting from the album Physical Graffiti and beyond. No disrespect to Robert--his voice after surgery is better than 99% of all singers during this time and after. Kudos to you, Zac, for noticing a difference.

Love your reaction to that sweet country tinged love song...Good points about lyric videos...Some of them are wrong!...Sometimes you put your own lyrics on songs...Check out Instant Crush by Daft Punk...Fabulous song (kinda rap-ish) that will become epic on re-listening...I had totally different off the wall lyrics for it until I read the actual ones haha...(I still think mine are better😀).

I think there’s sadness in Roberts voice singing this, I heard in an interview, the other members were worried about preforming it. I’m not sure if that was when preforming live, or preforming it any time, I’m sure it is emotional for him. A sad but beautiful song, & a wonderful tribute to his son.

The band's collaborative/recording process had evolved by the time of this, their final studio album.
The vocals being more buried behind the instruments is a common complaint regarding their final two albums. Many of the songs need multiple listens & reading the lyrics to follow.

It's all about the journey, there is no destination. Others have already told you the sad story behind the song, so I won't need to. Just a thought, it might be helpful to read the background info for the song before doing a reaction. It would give you more understanding when listening. There were a few accidents that Jimmy left in just because they sounded cool, hehe!

It sounds fine listening to it. Could it be that the voice not being so prominent is something to do with your earplugs? Earphones are the best for this kind of music.
