I love these pov close touches. Looking forward to the first long term reviews too, seems like a real winner so what's the catch. Just expensive? I might be alright with that.
Probably because you get the wagon space. Toyota knows this will still sell even without the 5th gen hybrid. Yes, 5th gen hybrid would have made this absolutely wonderful.
@timvibes I was anxiously awaiting the release of this vehicle, but given Toyotas recent track record with new model blunders, I no longer am giving this one consideration. I am now considering the tried and true Lexus RX instead.
That engine sounds like a piece of farm equipment! Original owner of a 2011 Toyota Venza V6/Fwd w/65K mikes and no matter how hard I flog that engine it is far more quiet and refined that this 50K wagon. This is what the replacement for the 1st Gen Venza should have been.
This is high on the list for my next vehicle. My Kia Optima is great, but sheesh I’m only in my late 20s and already getting tired of climbing in and out of a sedan. This seems to be a good compromise.
This thing is going to sell like hotcakes!! Take the reliability of a Toyota Prius and put it into a more usable body style for most buyers. ..... What's Toyota stock trading at 😂
I happen to actually really liked it the interior I think on this looks better than the regular Crown cuz the regular Crown has way too much plastic for 55 grand if I had to choose between a Lexus ES and the crown it would be the Lexus because it's more of luxurious on the inside it's kind of crazy on the Ridiculousness of car prices
for a hybrid that engine is WAYYYY too loud!! In my 2024 honda accord hybrid you can barely hear then engine even at high rpms, the only way you can hear the engine is from a artificial noise in sport mode.
Stylish, futuristic-looking embedded seamless console screen set, hidden below the windshield. Without this element, I won’t buy a new vehicle, get real.
@@ridgefrost after you. If you think Toyota’s 4 cylinder hybrids sound refined and expensive you’re dreaming. It’s excusable In a $30k Corolla. Not in a $50k+ vehicle.
The way it is recorded doesn’t help the sound- it is almost ASMR levels of volume. We test drove the regular Crown and for regular driving it was very quiet. Most of the time you won’t be pushing it into the power area (which is when it gets loud).
@@noobeenaut I have it and it drives looks beautiful like I feel it like a Lexus and this is definitely a regular car not luxury like the current Venza as it drives and looks as a Lexus NX
that's the point of the video, it's so people can hear what it's like when the engine is revved, of course normal people won't be driving it that way on daily basis. That's also why the video is segmented into "casual driving" and "spirited driving"...
I have watched most of your pov drive videos and I like them, your videos are very good, I get the feeling of driving.
This interior looks more stylish than the Lexus NX… cmon Lexus
Not really they look very similar. Now why toyota is trying to make their cars look like Lexus is kinda weird but I like the NX interior more.
Toyota and Lexus are the same thing
NX is a compact SUV. A luxury RAV4. Crown is Toyota’s flagship.
Lexus has been resting on their laurels forever. Their designers never listen to consumers because they’re high fashion arrogant minded people
The Crown line is positioned between Toyota and Lexus so there will be overlap.
Nice car, probably going to be my next Toyota!
Looks amazing 💯
Toyota has done a great job with the design of the Prius and Crown
Cant forget the new camry too
@@tonierbuckle0202i don’t know about the new carmy I mean it looks good but I don’t really like how it looks

That car looks nice
It’s an eCVT so that’s much better than a CVT
I love these pov close touches. Looking forward to the first long term reviews too, seems like a real winner so what's the catch. Just expensive? I might be alright with that.
I don't get why this supposedly higher level Crown gets the 4th gen hybrid system while the lesser Camry gets the 5th gen?
At least you get the energy flow screen. 5th gen (lithium batteries) don’t seem to get the energy flow screen. Not sure if the Prius has them.
4th gen won’t burn your house down
Too many of 4-th generation left in stock))

Not worth trading up from our 2014 Highlander V6 hybrid. Only 56K miles and running beautifully. And has a spare.
I’m very interested, it’s at the top of my car list. Any word when it hits the dealership ?
Let me call this Venza
