My husband struggled with GAD, Dysthymia and OCD for 2 decades, not wanting to go on meds because he was told all the things from our church teachings - pray more, Word more, you must've sinned, your faith is weak. It wreaked havoc on his self image and our marriage and family. He went to a Christian psychologist and got his diagnoses, went on meds in 2011 but didn't get full healing until mid 2024. He's a new man. I'm glad I stayed.

My son has been assessed and has OCD, especially ocd/scrupulosity. I insist he takes his tablet everyday, he resists. It's a battle but without it he is insane and terrifying to live with. I know he will receive his healing and will learn to love God again.

It also really blessed people. Vulnerability is the Jesus model, but we have to be careful who when and where we share with.

Recently, I opened up to family, because I was hoping this would help place puzzle pieces together. I also knew there was freedom in opening up.
Above all there is that scripture, James 5 says if we open up, bring issues to light there is freedom, and healing!
I heard Russ Taffs story, and Joyce's story, and then all kinds of real human stories. Yes all these are tied together. I was in and out of psyc. units for a yr. and a half back in 89- 91.
Trauma in the mind, oh yes, and I began to find all this out, when I read I Still Believe. Yes, the process for me really came into focus when Covid took place.
Mom had passed away, covid was there. I read Russ' story, once.
Holy Spirit, said read that book again, as there is healing there. So then as reading his story, here I am crying, like crazy at times. Because in a sense I could see these pieces and things began to make sense.
Oh my yes, there has been healing, and I am so greatful for GOD,JESUS and HOLY SPIRIT!!
As the song says, I will sing of the Goodness of GOD!

Yes I faced the same. My late parents passed away a year ago and I do still missed them somehow, however when I talk to Christians fellow some.. I faced words like get passed it, u should not be missing your parents by now or do I need to get meds. Etc. It's sad frightening because you feel it is not right to grieve and yet somehow u can't help it during holiday seasons. Frankly I just wish someone can just listen to me for a while and not say anything. That's all I need and I agreed with the emotional isolation and disconnectedneds even though u attend church u realised very few ppl can understand. Somehow I felt talking to strangers are better... I also an abused kid not by my parents but one of my siblings who has also disconnected. And refuse to connect with us. Thank you for the video it is so helpful for me. Cos I always free bad after someone give me what to do and how to fix etc.

Dr Cloud is my absolute favourite guest. I think his insights and approach to this visceral subject are profound. He seems genuinely engaged, yet witty and convivial. I truly believe he has seen life in it's fullness, and complexity. It's reassuring that a believer can be so ...human and real. Life and love and faith are messy, we must recall we are all mortal here, and immortal in the everafter.

Thank you so much for a spirituality mature way to discuss biblical topics and especially mental health. I miss that in sermons so much, some don’t go deep at all.
Please get the topic on christs healing from demons and epilepsy. I need deep teaching on this, no one seems to cover this in a psychological medical viewpoint. Thank you again and god bless ❤

The word of God also showed me how to stand in the gap, as the Holy Spirit, counseled me on how generational curses CAN be dealt with, WITH His Help through my obedience and spending time in God's presence...In Worshipping and Praising God [God inhabits the Praises of His People]. Isaiah 43, 58 and Psalms 23, 27, 37 and 46 and many others were my place to go. In my Catholic faith tradition, the Eucharistic along with Bible study and fellowship fed, and nurished me! Forgiveness of myself and others delivered me from those "tormentors" that we're turned over to when we do not forgive as we have been forgiven as Jesus speaks about! Freedom comes in and through Christ Jesus and his making the way! For man it is impossible But Not for God! Everyday now I am truly grateful for I am in the land flowing with milk and honey [taste and see that the Lord is good! And my relationships with those around me are sweet-they give God glory!] "They will know you are my disciples by how you love one another!" Amen!❤🕊☕💁‍♀️And Remember: God's no respector of persons! What He has done for me and many others, like Joyce, He will do for you! He truly is a Miracle Working God-Our Father, Who art in Heaven-Hallowed Be thy Name- thy Kingdom come-thy Will Be done on earth as it is in Heaven...!

Thank you for sharing your histories. How I see it, is that you take yourself seriously enough, not in a competitive way with yourself or with others. But with compassion. Maybe that's how we build a listing inner and outer ears. We can't respect others unless we respect ourselves first. Thank you. I had many gorgeous psychologists, God bless them and bless their loved ones, their teams and their ministries in Jesus name. I am sure they didn't understand what I was bubbling about 😂. But they were curious, no judgement and did the best they could out of what they knew. I am grateful to them. Thanks to you too. God bless you all, bless your loved ones and your ministries in Jesus name we pray. Love you all ❤.

I feel you, we don't like to hear this. Everything is connected. We can't lie to you guys. It's ok if you don't like us but we will stick to the words. The sins hold us anxious. For example Gambling gives me the spirit of helplessness, losing control just like parkinson. So nothing is random. May God help us and free us from any spirit that does not align with God's purpose for us in Jesus name 🙏.

They trivialize everything, try to push everything under the carpet. May we have a spirit of discernment and respect in Jesus name.
