Russia does not need to be ashamed if it has not been able to match the West in creating efficient machines. The PD-14 if only able to approach the LEAP's CFM is no mean feat. Because CFM didn't sell for a long time, and even almost went bankrupt because no one bought it. The PS-90A is still inferior to the CFM56, but not far behind. Likewise, the PD-14 is a significant improvement if it is able to approach LEAP's CFM. Let's just look at RR from England, which is currently devoid of fans. Also P&W still has a lot of reliability problems. I think sanctions from the West will only give Russia's domestic industry more of a place. Even if the war with Ukraine ends, I hope Russia will continue to strive for independence in terms of technology, and Russia has the capability to do so.
It's hard to say where the PD-14 sits in this engine classification, only in time will we know that. It seems the combustion chamber isn't the best in the world, but I'm certain work continues on that.
Basically bashing the Russian engine while not knowing what it's actually made of and how. Self-serving pep talk backed up by nothing but arrogance and assumptions. (( 🤮 ))

You mean a dual-annular design?
Its first version 🎉 second gen will come and pd 18 Gear will come to
There are still other factors such reliable operation and MTBF overhaul period.
For that the regular aircraft operations have to start.

Whot? Why WE need our engines our enemy will Not give US engines
