► LYRICS
Silence is mocking the dawn of a new day
Devil and daughter are both on their way
The evil of her nature collects in her eyes
With him there's no fear of the dawn bringing light
Baptised with fire, too wild to be tamed
She's hot, evil and ready to take any man
Let no-one put asunder the power or the pain
He is the master of Hell, riding again
(Oh)
Devil and daughter
Pleasure and pain
(Oh)
Devil and daughter
Is this the end?
A thousand times over, you'll hear on the wind
In the name of Hell, these sinners never sinned
But Satan never listens to the words that they send
Drenching the soil with blood, when will it end?
(Oh)
Devil and daughter, oh
He's got the power, she's got the pain
(Oh)
Devil and daughter
She'll break any woman and take any man, oh
(Oh)
Devil and daughter
Hand in hand with the reaper

Tony's guitar and Tony's vocals just elevated Tony's presence in the band unlocking Tony's full potential so all credit to Tony for that.
Tony and Tony did a great job. All hail the Tonys!
Hahahahaahhaaha amazing use of words
This whole album is absolutely killer from top to bottom - a top 5 release in their discography IMO.
Top 3 together with 'Paranoid' and 'Heaven And Hell' albums!!
Headless Cross, Heaven and Hell, and Born Again were the 3 best non Ozzy Sabbath albums
One of my favorite Black Sabbath songs. People that only pay attention to Ozzy era stuff miss on so many good things!
There have been other singers?
@@Bogeyman19Was4BraindeadPeople yeah
There's is no such thing as a bad BLACK SABBATH album
I agree
Well said 👍🤘🤘
I just want to say that Tont Martin is the best rock singer ever.
*Tony
The mid to late 80's Sabbath era is my personal favorite period when it comes to Tony Iommi's guitar tone and songwriting chops.
I just say 80s Sabbath, incl Gillan and Dio. Hughes was good too. But I'm pushing for an AI version of Seventh Star with Gillan.
Same feeling 👍
Such an underrated era of Sabbath!
I don't think that ....
Love this album, now more than ever! Tony Martin's singing and the power of the band is an awesome mix!
This is fukking awesome album! I think this is the best Black Sabbath record. I don't like Ozzy's vocals... I also like Sabbath's "Dio - albums". Way more better for me than "original" Sabbath-albums.
The groove on this song is strong. I'm glad the Tony Martin-era is getting more high profile love!
The whole Tony Martin era is so great 🤘🏻
Tony and Cozy from 2:18 - 3:21 is just incredible harmonies. Listen to this with excellent headphones. So much power, enough to drive one insane.
Although I like Ozzy and love RJD I have to say that Tony Martin is absolutely outstanding
Some people think that Heavy Metal makes people violent but it actually calms me down
Immediately after that masterpiece Headless Cross comes this powerhouse, a song that transports you in to its enveloping rhythm, Cozy Powell a powerhouse behind the drums 🤘🥁🤘
Tony Martin's voice is something amazing and wonderful!!!❤❤❤
My Best Song!!
Tony iommi Guitar🎸
Tony Martin Vocal🎤
Cozy Powell Drums🥁😪
Laurence Cottle Bass Guitar🎸
Geoff Nicholls keyboards🎹😪
Congratulations on the release 2024 Remix
Indeed she walks around still. Crashing planes flipping buses and manipulating the past. Rock on Tony!
Cozy F’cking Powell!
Love this album. Third or fourth favourite in their whole catalogue.
It's incredible how Mr Iommi composes on the voice of each Sabbath singer, in this case more epic but killer riffs his trademark, the first Sabbath album I heard was Eternalidol and then Tyr then I went to listen to the classics with Ozzy and Dio.
nice song for a family reunion
Honestly, one of the greatest vocal performances of the entire 1980s.
Just absolutely incredible!!!
Martin and Iommi are a genius for all time. Martin's era was legendary, but so underrated.
I knew some random White Guy would use the mediocre word 'underrated'. Sigh. No it isn't generic guy.
@@BrianYoungauthorсейчас модно любое заслуженно забытое дерьмо называть "недооцененным".
@@BrianYoungauthor For as long as I can remember, I've seen various rankings of Black Sabbath albums where Tony Martin's albums are often placed near the bottom or in mediocre spots. In some aspects, Tony Martin's albums are far more interesting than Dio's, and maybe even Osbourne's. So the word "underrated" here is a fact.
My love for Tony Iommi🎸 runs deep, and this is a whole new reason to love the Tony Martin era! Every track on this album is a masterpiece!
Great album, great song, great lineup!
It's amazing how underrated this album was in its time.
After Ronnie James Dio's era, Tony Martin was the best singer of Black Sabbath. This is because Ian Gillan and Glenn Hughes each had their own album, while Tony Martin has five in Sabbath's history.
Regards from Colombia, dear Mr. Iommi!
Killer guitar solo on this one as well
Yeah, from south of Chile.
Epic Sabbath, this is awesome
This Song Is a masterpiece!!!🖤🖤🖤🤘🏼👏👏👏👏
You are such an inspiration for me and many people around the earth mister iommi
This drumming....thousand metal horses with eyes of fire running to the fires of hell🎉
Essa fase com tony Martin é muito boa.
Immortal masterpiece. Everyone here's at the peak!
I LOVE Tony Marti's voice just as Cozy Powell did( RIP Cozy you knew a thing or two mate). Great remix Mr Iommi just fantastic thank you! 👍👍
Best Black Sabbath song ever.
Tony I'm a big fan of yours I'm from a small town in Brazil called Pocoes in Bahia
Second best track on the album
I've loved the Tony Martin era since it's original inception. I couldn't be more pleased or excited that these albums FINALLY have been re released! I'm actually envious people discovering these albums for the first time. I still remember my first time listening to them. All on the days they were originally released!
The Headless Cross is a heavy metal masterpiece after Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules macnifincit songs brilliant writing both Tony Martin Tony Iommi Cozy Powell and Geoff Nicholls were on top of their game in 1989
Laurence Cottle kicked ass on it too great bass player
I remember how refreshing this album was back in 1989 when i bought it, i still know all the lyrics
originally named "Devil's Daughter".
2:18 Pure guitar - then voice / guitar complementing duet - ecstasy !
Geoff Nicholls killin' it on keys..........
When I first heard this song, it completely blew me away. I discovered the vinyl of this album by chance and had no idea who was singing, so I had no predetermined idea of what to expect.
I couldnt believe that what i was hearing was Black Sabbath, it was better than anything i had ever heard before and turned me in to a lifelong fan!!!
Im so glad these albums are finally getting the recognition they deserve.
I like this album more than the Dio stuff and the Dio albums were really good
This album is great. No filler.
The ALBUM of my life!
What a Great drumming from cozy
Awesome song!!! I just bought the new box set 🙏🤘🤘

So friggin good🤘🤘
My favourite album with Tony Martin and the track I always listen to, if I only have time for one. Good memories with this album.
Cozy 'The Odin's Hammer' Powell, what a blast!!
Best track from this record.
Yes 👍
This song and Black Moon are my favorites on Headless Cross, but the entire album is a masterpiece for real
Thank G ... Iommi. I just heard two total pos songs of the present. May they be washed away by the power and the melody of Tony Martin fronted Black Sabbath.
🤘Thank my Legend🤘
What about Ian Gilan 👉BORN AGAIN
I 🖤🖤🖤🖤 Sabbath ,, till now I have ALL the Audio Cassette Album from 60's to 2000.

An awesome track on "Headless Cross". I love it.
Awesome tune ❤ I love this one.
Site oficial só tem a era ozzy... :(
Did you offer this song to Kiss?...anyone? Just me?...I love it
Powerfull by mr Bobby Rondinelli
Cozy Powell played this. Bobby played on Cross Purposes.
Great!
fuckin awesome
Amazing Song!!!
Tony I wonder if Bernie Price from Bromsgrove ever returned the black left handed strat you gave him to repair?? Circa 80s/early 90s?? 😅
🤘🤘🤘🤘
It was wise of Iommi to remix the Forbidden album, because when I read about this box set it said that the album was produced by a guy from a band fronted by rapper Ice-T so I listened to it on here and it was definitely badly produced, it's very thin sounding, which is not what Sabbath is known for. Some songs even sounded like In Living Color, which I was never a fan of. I think the songs should actually be entirely reworked, not just remixed. Tony is still alive so it's possible to turn those Living Color sounding songs into Sabbath sounding songs, and make sure there's some bottom end in it, use bass boost if necessary, because that album does not sound heavy, the guitar isn't even doomy sounding, not enough fuzzbox or something. Shoegaze is currently a very popular genre, and that's what it is, low fuzzy distorted guitar power chords at slow tempo, just like old Sabbath. Sabbath could make a whole new album and dominate shoegaze.
Why this song i can't find in Spotify?
It's on Spotify now
