Just as solid as they were in the 70's and 80's! I'm so glad Judas Priest is still producing quality Heavy Metal for the world to hear in 2020! We are defenders of the faith!

Ever since the day this album came out, I’ve been consistently amazed by how good it is. This is easily on par with their better-known material from the 80’s. Amazing song with killer guitar, epic vocals and inspiring lyrics.
Lyrics: Drawn from years of self denying Lost in chaos before the storm Our strength goes on prepared for mortal battle We can settle our old scores Look to the stars and challenge all of heaven Resist the devil, dare to dream By grace of god within our hearts eternal For our salvation is for everyone We're standing as one We're carrying on Rising from ruins We're bringing the light Out from the night Rising from ruins We'll face our foes so they can hear our voices The land rejoices in empathy This trial by fire will build from their attrition It's ammunition for our enemies We're standing as one We're carrying on Rising from ruins We're bringing the light Out from the night Rising from ruins Send in the valiant, fight for what you believe Then we shall overcome, lay victory at our feet We're standing as one We're carrying on Rising from ruins We bring the light Out from the night Rising from ruins We're standing as one We're carrying on Rising from ruins We're bringing the light Out from the night Rising from ruins
There are contenders but my choice for all time Baddest metal band, Judas Priest. The body of work they leave is a Treasure trove for anyone discovering their past. A 1/2 century/50 Years of Legendary Existence. "Metal Gods" Forever!
they arent bad! Judas Priest are the best! and really its "worst" , there is no "Baddest"???.. like.. wtf??? why dont i just say they are "more better"??
This is going to sound a little dumb, but. . . this song is my LGBT+ anthem. Priest has always been an inspiration for me to embrace who I am and a lot of lyrics in this song resonate with me about that sort of theme: "Drawn from years of self denying" - staying in the closet, years of self-denying your identity. "We can settle our old scores" - our old scores can be Stonewall, it can be the AIDS epidemic, or it can be all of the homophobic abuse that came before the modern movement. "Look to the stars and challenge all of heaven, Resist the devil, dare to dream" - challenging the traditional christian homophobia, fighting "heaven" but also not being the devil-aligned sinners homophobic christians think we are. "By grace of god within our hearts eternal, For our salvation is for everyone" - God is love. We aren't some sort of devil worshipper just because we love the same sex. And salvation is for *everyone*. "We're standing as one We're carrying on Rising from ruins We're bringing the light Out from the night Rising from ruins" - We're coming out of hiding. We're rising from a dark past of discrimination. We're united. "We'll face our foes so they can hear our voices The land rejoices in empathy" - Being visible, being heard is a huge thing for the LGBT community. Throughout history we've been erased and ignored. Being visible and audible is something that homophobes hate. But even more people have empathy for us. Idk man. Maybe I'm just a stupid queer kid who's too in love with this excellent song.
@@Mkd_is_bg Rob Halford is a gay man who likely witnessed the AIDS crisis first hand and was terrified of coming out for years in fear of tanking the band's reputation. Nice balanced polished sounding song. I like the regular tuning rather down tuning which seams so over done on other bands my opinion but we all hear different things even if its the same sound. Still kicks Ass! Long live Priest 🤘❤💯
It's the mettalica, pantera thrash tone. Ppl like it because it's crunchy. I prefer this sound on thrash metal and I like it on priest but it can get very repetitive. Be cool to see them use fuzz and raw slippy doom metal tones
Try to tell me (even if you are not.a.JP fan) that this song is not one of the best of the last decade. This song is a transcendental Wonder and the whole album deservedly ranked Nr. 5 on the Billboard chart
Rob Halford is not the grandpa we deserve, but the one we need. He's truly a legend.
😂 well said 🤘👍
The metal God truly

Mine too, Veena. I love the words. Rob is a very spiritual person. He talks about good versus evil in many Priest and Halford solo tracks.
