@@Vorticy135 he's just being humble. Don't you hear that he gets into the rhythm, hits the right notes, has a good range, knows how to mix clean and drive, knows how to make nice transitions from chest to head voice, sings melismas correctly and just has a pleasant timbre.
This song is one thrill after another, Tony Martin's voice is perfection, then that change at 3:35 has always driven me crazy, and then Brian May's solo is the icing on the cake 🤘🎸🤘

This just keeps sending shivers down your spine! Tony Martin is criminally underrated Sabbath vocalist. But still forever engraved to the great legacy of the band. 🤘
Absolutely incredible song. I have loved this masterpiece since I first heard it in 1989. On first listen "When Death Calls" kind of reminded me of a modern song in the fashion of "Children Of The Sea" where the title track "Headless Cross" was more like a "Heaven And Hell" style song. Some of the other tracks don't remind me of anything previous but I have always loved this whole album straight through. Hails and blessings eternal to Tony Iommi, a lifelong hero.
Tony Martin's masterpiece! Hands down his greatest contribution to music lyrically and vocally. The raw emotional impact of everything this song is still gets me today as when I first heard it. The world needs more Iommi/Martin!
One of the very top best Black Sabbath songs EVER. Astounding work by Tony Martin on vocals, and just superlative in every aspect. ~ Why the official Black Sabbath channel isn't celebrating the Anno Mundi boxset and we're only getting these videos on Tony Iommi's channel is mystifying to me. The silence is deafening
10/10 that atmosphere man!!! I love the evolution of Sabbath's music . I really understand how the band (tony Iommi) wanted to evolve the sound of the band . From an artistic point of view I can only imagine how tedious it can be to do the same sound on every song you create
Los dos Tony impresionantes; lommi con sus riffs demoledores a que nos tiene acostumbrados desde la creación de la banda y Martín con su voz inigualable....y la guinda...el solo de Brian May....
I haven't even listened to a Sabbath album since the Dio era, so I missed the whole Tony Martin era, which makes it good that this box set came out because I find him quite good. Very Dio sounding but with more low end because he's not a dwarf.
Tony I'm so Happy for the Tony Martin era getting some long overdue ❤ and Recognition. Thank you for keeping the Sabbath name up and running during this time period. You could have just as easily slapped your name on it or made up another. We are all looking forward to a proper Born Again remix but until this we will be enjoying these. Tyr was my introduction to Tony Martin
I've read somewhere that they wished to compete with Candlemass, as Tony said that Ancient Dreams was the albums he wished Sabbath made. So, Headless Cross is their answer to Ancient Dreams.
I can't stand the Sabbath fans who want them to play the first album over and over. Very few complained about the last Sabbath tour lists which were 80% from just the first three albums. And 5% from 13. They don't even care about the Ozzy era!
M'encanta com en Tony Iommi no toca ni una única nota mentre en Brian May sola! És en pla "Senyores i senyors, dames i cavallers, aquí teniu a en Brian May... parem una estona a escoltar-lo!" És meravellós!
Due to the lawsuit the Osbournes filed against Tony for the Sabbath name back in 2007 anything "Black Sabbath" is officially the original four members. That's why all of this is on Iommi's YT and not the official Sabbath page.
@@DarksaberForce Tony Iommi and Ozzy Osborne settled out of court mutual agreement on the name Black Sabbath 50/50 co- owners in the agreement it takes 3 original members to participate for any new material to be released under the Black Sabbath name. 4:25 Brian May solo is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
It's songs like this that proves that Black Sabbath is the greatest band of all time.
i agree
Words can't explain how of a masterpiece this song is the added guitar work of Brian May is perfection
Tony Martin was totally underrated as a vocalist in Black Sabbath. I'm glad people are starting to recognise that now . His vocal range was brillant .
Not only range - Ozzy Osbourne also had range, but Tony Martin has great technique and a very pleasant tone.
@@immortalgraveyard2099Tony Martin never had a good technique. He even said so himself.

Inamorata by metallica might have been inspired or have the same vibe by this song.... And it can be covered by Alice in chains...
Martin had by far the greatest vocal range of any sabbath singer
This song is one thrill after another, Tony Martin's voice is perfection, then that change at 3:35 has always driven me crazy, and then Brian May's solo is the icing on the cake 🤘🎸🤘
That 3:35 riff is soooo damn good
Unreached so far! One of the masterpieces for eternity!!! Bow deeply down to the awesome Black Sabbath with Tony Martin!
This is the greatest vocal performance in the Sabbath discography.
Tony Matin é incrível, espero que o reconhecimento da sua obra seja de fato revelado ao mundo do rock.
Sabbath Stones better, especially the chorus
Hai veramente ragione ❤

Tony martin really kept sabbath on their toes. He brought out the best of them. Out of this realm vocals. MAGIC
By far and wide a most phenomenal vocalist and performer!
Fuck me this is good.
I think this might be my all time favorite song out of all of Black Sabbath's discography. Everything is just perfect
Tony Iommi is definitely a Metal Maestro and The riff master

Brian May solo ❤️🔥EPIC! 🤘
This easily makes Black Sabbath's top ten songs. Everything works together perfectly, and the song explores multiple emotions. Love it.
One of the all time Doom classics. And listen for that gong hit!
One of the best Sabbath songs of all time
One of their all time greatest songs! Just unrealistically good, in every way.
Master Brian May!!
This is just the icing on the cake that is The Sabbath Stones. Perfection!
It's so awesome all the music from the Tony Martin era Black Sabbath is returning. Tony Martin was really good with Black Sabbath.
Pure magic.
This song along with heaven and hell hits me deeper than any other sabbath song.

We really need a tour with Tony Martin to celebrate the Anno Domini, so much gems in those albums need to be choired arround the world.
I second that.
Such a song, incredible powerful riff and great voice.
MASTERPIECE!

Tony Tony tour! Come on man!
Back in the charts with Tony Martin this time 🎉
the best album...
Saw headless cross tour in Hamburg 1989.Sabbath 4 Ever.😈🎸
Best Sabbath song ever
That inescapable rhythm guitar tone is the sound of death. It is what death actually sounds like

I never realized it but Iommis heavy chorus on the guitars almost sounds like Maidens Somewhere in Time tone.

He might have it, but is just under contract not to promote this stuff on it. Which sucks.
