somehow in the process of hacking my 3ds I got locked out and this saved me 🙏 thank you!
In case this ever happens again on your 3ds...
Now that it is hacked,
You don't need to do this...
When the 3ds is off,
Hold the power button and start button at the same time...
This should open up the arms 9 menu. You should see that passcode is turned on.
Select x till you have no highlighted...
Select start to save and it will reboot.
The passcode should now be off till you set up a new passcode or you can leave it off indefinitely...

For people with no pc or using a linux pc or mac: mkey runs on wine or exagear or crossover

Got a used 2dsXl, was able to change pin but cant get rid of the parental lock at all due to the user being under 13. Any way around this so I don't have a parental lock at all?
delete the restrictions after you get into the menu
