Rogers:
I'm gonna to need a rain check on that dance.
Carter:
All right. A week, next Saturday, at the Stork Club.
Rogers:
You got it.
Carter:
8:00 on the dot. Don't you dare be late. Understood?
Rogers:
You know, I still don't know how to dance.

I'll show you how. Just be there.

Steve: *chooses to die to save thousands
Mjolnir: That's my boy right there
Though, Mjolnir got the spell after. So when Thor was in Stark’s library, Mjolnir was like: Big bro, I want a new bro.
tony stark did the same thing but didn't get to lift the hammer
@@lucifeers3219 Steve has always been good at heart, whilst tony changed to become someone who would sacrifice himself for everyone. The events in Ultron kinda proved that at the time tony was willing to put everyone in a cage in order to keep them safe.
U mean Jonathan
Millions actually
*Steve using big brain:* You can't be late if you don't show up.
*Modern problems requires modern solution*
Steve using time travel: shows up at exactly 8
The kind of knowledge required to wield Mjolnir
bruh

Peggy: "Don't You Dare Be Late"
Steve: Time travels 70 years later and leaves everything behind just to keep his promise! What a man!!
I’m still triggered Steve didn’t bring Bucky back with him tho. Bucky has to live the rest of his life without his best friend.
@@charon_cmlxix9458 I feel very sad for Bucky he deserves the shield not falcon....
@@faizali1861 well bucky is Steve's Bestfriend and because all of that brainwash thing from bucky he is still struggling However Sam is a good man that's why Steve was chosen in the first place too "Not a perfect soldier but a good man"
@@charon_cmlxix9458 Bucky knew Steve was gonna go tho… if you wanna know how i can explain it to you?.
@@charon_cmlxix9458 Bucky didn't wanted to go in the past
At 0:19 you can see that Colonel Philips tapped the dude to leave the room because he knew that Steve was gonna die so he let him spend his final moments alone with Peggy. What a masterpiece.
WOW. Good eye.
Fr
He knew he was gonna die😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
He knew they chose the right man for the supersoldier program. Dammit
Tommy lee jones is one of the greats
Loyalty level: Captain America
At least he stayed within the family
Tactical101 lol
yup
Here he is again. Here he is again. Absolutely astonishing. Lionel Messi.
He kissed his ex’s niece
With time travel cap was finally on time
He was indeed
Actually, according to the writers, he was 3 years late. He arrived at 1948
Lol
Like Hermione
Yes
Notice how when Peggy was looking for a way out for him he didn't even hesitate and decided to ground the plane as landing anywhere else would be too risky? Because the longer they try and figure a way out for him is time for the plane to get closer to NYC and might cause more damage
Notice how when he was heading for the Ice he was still talking to Peggy like a normal convo to keep Peggy's mind off from what was going to happen and basically comfort her even though he was the one that was going to die?
He knew no one would know. He would lose his life and love and didn't even hesitate.
This is why Cap was always worthy.
Underrated comment
In terms of ideology and mentality he definitely is the Superman of Marvel. The caring, selfless hero who constantly puts others before him even if it means his own life.
He would have been whorty in ultron if he havent lied to tony at that time about his parentz
Bullet Club, he was worthy because he slightly lifted up the hammer he was just trying not to show off
@@ethanjohnson4856 nop he was kinda worthy. I mean he was but becosue of the guilt of keeping the secret from tony he couldnt lift it. If your argument is that the directors said that he was always worthy that was before civil wars
2:27 the same theme when Steve sees again Peggy in Endgame
Elios Yun yeah it was used throughout endgame which was touching and beautiful
That's what you call symmetry!
what song was it
Basically the Captain america theme song
and when old man Cap told Sam to try the shield on.
0:19, Philips was a man of culture who understood what had to be done
Respect
*cap busts in Peggy's house*
Peggy:"your about 70 years late"
I kinda wish we could have seen the scene, like a heart wrenching reunion
Also Peggy ruined by dementia: WHO IS THIS MAN
- ThenI have 70 years to bang your ass
- Oh my Cap 🥰🥰
Olivier Pineau 😂😂
For her it was probably about 10 years
Honestly I love this scene so much.
how when Steve says “There’s not going to be a safe landing zone”. Philips immeadiately motions to the other Howling Commando for them to leave the room so she could talk to him. And when she started sobbing, Philips left the room completely so she could have her privacy.
And big props to Steve for how he acted when the plane was going down. He knew he would likely die and he wouldn’t be able to dance with Peggy, but he kept talking to her and making plans like they were going to just to keep her mind off the fact that he wasn’t going to make it. This scene was just so beautiful and heartbreaking
Steve at that moment: Well, life was good; time to meet Bucky.
This is where real men cried
😭😭😭😭💔
True
Not if you read the graphics
Mat ro bhai 🤣 sb theek ho jyega
😭
0:20 "Yo dude we should gtfo so they can have an intimate conversation"
Yet another reason Tommy Lee Jones' performance is underrated.
War machine: why didn't you jump before the crash??
crush
@@AnimatedAirlines
You're like my *crush* tho
@@svisuals4932 aww thanks ✌
Because the moment had him "Frozen" lolJK, but ayy moments like that you forget what to think and you just act 💯
It was on autopilot so the plane might have corrected itself back to its original destination should there be no human interference, Steve might not have known how to turn it off (if that was even possible, he's not a pilot anyway)
So he had to be sure he didn't risk millions of people dying just to save himself, that's his character
I just love how Marvel finds the right cast for secondary roles. Tomy Lee Jones really plays it well.
Especially at 0:19 when he taps the guy and points for him to leave, knowing she needed to be alone for his final moments.
Almost shed a tear at this scene. One of the most emotional scenes in the MCU.
Almost isn't good enough
Almost? I'm fucking bawling bro
And the ending when he said " I had a date"
@@BasedNoodle SAME.
Almost? I sobbed like a baby
Hayley Atwell's facial expressions are heartbreaking
Can we take a time and appreciate how beatiful "Valkyrie" Aircraft is?
Scazoid yes sir, i second that
Looks how the USA built YB-49 and later B2 stealth. Wasn't aliens, just Red Skull and Hydra!!
Coz it's German ❤️
late ass reply, but look into the Horton Flying Wing. Its a ww2 german engineered flying wing prototype
2:35 listen carefully. music is the same with the scene in Endgame that Cap giving a shield to Sam
I noticed that yesterday. I felt so nostalgic after that
Cap is irreplaceable chris evans is him and that’s just how it is and will be
I got it when I was watching end game itself
@@lauradocarn3552 Falcon isn't going to be Captain America he's going to be The Falcon just with the Shield which is confirmed
And when he sees Peggy again through the glass window 😁

@@idontcare63 The Incredible Hulk
This film is very underrated. Is the second best in all the franchise only behind avengers end game. Wunderbar.
This film deserves better
Yeah endgame was hella dope, but First avenger is my fave film, endgame second
In your opinion. Don't get me wrong, is still very good, but Winter Soldier and Infinity War beat it easily
@Gonçalo Ferreira the airport battle was really good idk what you are talking about
@Gonçalo Ferreira it fitted perfectly cause it was a civil war
“Dont be late”
70 years later.
Steve: bonjour
YOUR COMMENT MADE ME LAUGH SO MUCH😂🤣
No.
Steve : Hola! Bonjour! Namaste! Hello!
Peggy : wtf-
Peggy Carter: "Just don't be late, Alright"
*Wakes up fucking 70 years later*
I will always love Colonel Phillips just looking before stepping out realising that what Dr Erksine said about Captain Rogers and why he gave Rogers the super serum was 100% right. Sacrificed his life for the world without being asked
I just love how this soundtrack reappeared so many years later, I am looking forward to Mackie's take on Cap but Chris Evans cemented himself in this role....the shot of him in Endgame facing down the army was a perfect scene description of the character and I'm happy that he got his happy ending!
Bucky will probably have the nomad Shields and watch over Sam....Steve's bros!
The MCU infinity saga will most likely never be topped again by any storyline they do everything was built up perfectly but I'm still looking forward to the future and I'm sure Cap and Tony and Widow will return in future Multi-Verse style crossover
1:35
Imagine that's when he arrives from the future...
But captain america will be 12 years older
Cioaca Cristian still not late tho
Cioaca Cristian i think the super soldier serum makes ppl age slower considering that old-steve is still alive in 2023
luce - well 2023 is endgame
Ben Dover no shit
Tommy Lee Jones quietly leaving the room and signaling to the others to get out, knowing what’s about to happen, is heartbreaking.
One of the saddest scenes in a superhero movie hands down.you can actually feel the pain in peggy carter as she realizes the man she was willing to devote her life to in her mind is dead.powerful stuff.
Yeah he shouldn’t have driven the plane into the water there has to be another way Peggy is very upset she really loves him
The fact there was zero hesitation, knowing that was it, he was going to get his happy ending. A man so amazing he was going to sacrifice it all
This scene actually made me sob. I was crying for so long. I loved Peggy and Steve together. This was heartbreaking. 😭😭😭😭
I took it personally until I saw the Infinity Endgame
Finally, Steve Rogers got to have that dance with Peggy Carter and have a happy life.
Guy: "Captain Rogers what is you---"
Peggy: "STEVE IS THAT YOU ARE YOU ALRIGHT!"
Poor guy lost the opportunity to be the last man in contact with Steve Rogers.
My god. The musical scores for this entire movie are soo good. They're patriotic and sound exactly like the kind of music in 1940s. They match scenes perfectly, and make you really feel sad, or make you want to bust down dem Hydras door
After rewatching that part and thinking of what Peggy went through all the years that past without Steve i really think that Steve did the right thing at Endgame ❤️
I really feel connected with this scene. As a complete introvert, I would rather crash a plane into ice and die than go dancing.
I just noticed that Tommy Lee Jones' character understood what was happening and what Steve was doing, so he motioned for them to give Peggy privacy.
Seeing your hero, your idol, die, even you know he would come back, hits you in a different way
This film will always have a special place in my heart.
2:17
He was thinking i should of have kissed steve
Lmao
“Whosoever holds this hammer, IF he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.” - This is the moment
2:33 your adventure has just begun, capt
This was the moment that truly made him worthy
This is the moment Cap became worthy.
No he was always worthy
He was always worthy, he proved it when he hopped on that grenade in camp
He was always worthy the only thing that kept him lifting the hammer in age of ultron was the secret he knew about Tony’s parents and helping Bucky once he done that he was a clean sheet and truly worthy, cap always will be my fav hero and character the mans sacrificed everything and finally got that dance that he waited over a century to get
@@Revolver0cel0t no he was worthy in age of ultron there were no such thing as kinda worthy
@@tommyhani6507 no because he didn’t tell tony after he knew about his parents, to me he was always worthy but that was why he only just moved it and not lifted it
Makes me sad the momentum they had for a while. Threw it away. What a start to this story. Didn't know how lucky we were. Give 10 or 12 years and you never see anything like this again.
0:19 He knew he was dead.
Thought
He let her talk to him alone in his final moments.
She spoiled the endgame 8 years ago
Not really
Man I felt sad for him, he would do anything to save people even if it means that he will sacrifice himself.
I am so glad Cap and Peggy got to be happy together in Endgame. It was so disappointing knowing that both of them could be happy, but something always stops stops it. Kinda reminds of real life.
Shout outs to Colonel Phillips knowing it was time for everyone else to leave the room.
To those who say "why didn't he jump??"
Because in moments like these you may freeze up and you gotta act if you cant think , plus he's still understanding his powers & how to they work so I mean just a youngies mistake , but its his heart that kept him alive💯
Carlos Alvarado it’s a fucking movie that’s why
@@nxthan3503 no shit lol but I'm explaining why "his charcter"did it in the "movie":)
the majority of people are quoting the deleted scene in endgame lmfao fucking smart one
He's not a pilot and he wanted to try to make sure the plane went down without blowing crap up.
He was resigned to see it down and wanted to spend his last moments with Peggy.
He's try to put it down in the middle of nowhere... he's got NO supplies to live off of... it's essentially Winter time. IF he survives the landing... how does he make it to civilization?
Cap's sacrifice is truly underrated. i know everyone talks about iron man's sacrifice in endgame but Steve also did it here
This scene really shows why Steve Rogers was Captain of America. Truly the embodiment of selflessness. Captain America is that one superhero from who many life lessons can be learned.
Steve is so loyal and keeps his word
Even after 1 phoookin century
He went back in time and attended the date 🌚
Heheh lol
Lololol
"I'm going to need a rain check on that dance"
*jumps to future to kiss her niece
0:19 . Smooth move General
I love how Philips just left the room without discussing alternative ways of stopping the plane. He just knew Steve would do the right thing.
Cap is such a chad he can keep a girl waiting for 70 years and then go back in time for the Raincheck dance
Hayley Atwell's acting was also superb in this movie
This is the moment that he came behind Peggy and say “on your left”
The fact that at the end of Avengers Endgame they were dancing 😭
It’s even more depressing that Peggy spoke as if he *was* actually going to be there.
At least before endgame, he wouldn’t have been.
I like a man who keeps his promise
Peggy slept knowing he would be late, but hoping that he wouldn’t be.
came to this for nostalgia, was not expecting to cry at 1am
Same 😪🤧
"Not a perfect soldier, but a good man."
Iron man gave the MCU it’s life but this movie is what pulled me in. I love this movie more than I could ever explain and I’m so thankful that I was able to grow up with these characters
why my heart is crying even after watching this movie for a 1000 times
This scene haunted us for over a decade. Cap got finally deserved have a life with her which he promised with that dance.
Peggy:Don't you dare be late!
Steve:Ends up becoming 70 years late
Almost ten years and I still get that stomach drop that I did on viewing one
Knowing he makes his way back to her at the very end of it all makes this scene a lot easier nowadays.
Peggy made it. At least the first one. She did a great job. And shes Beautiful !
Thank U Captain America A.K.A Steve Rogers/ Chris Evens For Playing Captain America For 9 Years And Thank U Marvel For Making Every Marvel Movie I've Enjoy Them So Much And Thank U Stand Lee 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊☺☺☺☺
Rhodes (in a deleted Endgame scene): “And you couldn’t have jumped out of the plane before you crashed it?”
Bro this made tears come to my eyes
Peggy: I'll show you how, just be there!
Steve: see ya in 75 years
„And you couldn’t have jumped out befor the plane crashed“
If you know you know :)
Because the moment had him "Frozen" lolJK, but ayy moments like that you forget what to think and you just act 💯:)
Carlos Alvarado everyone says this and I’m over here asking how jumping slow him down at all, he’s still heading towards the Ice really fast. Even if he hit the water that would have been like cement.
Don’t worry cap will find you. *Treads water in the ocean for over a week*
It's nice that in endgame he remembered this moment and promised her that dance also technically speaking there were always 2 steve rogers considering that at the end of endgame he goes back so they already won despite the snap
More feels in this scene than the entire DCEU LOLLLLLL.
0:03 The Asian dude (Kenneth Choi) later on became Spiderman's teacher
His grandson did i think
If you pay attention in the scene where peter goes to the principal’s office, there’s a photo of his grandpa and the rest of the howling commandos in the background.
I think this is the saddest ending. She fell in love with him when he was nothing and they couldn’t have the dance nor build a life together
2:09 that moment made me cry.😢
This REALLY hits differently after seeing the first What If? episode. I mean, it really does.
Bruh : I want my personality like Cap 😭
Was so glad Cap got the life he missed out on in the end.
"Come on, Everyone knows that there's no such thing as on time. You're either Early or Late."
- Sam
late for 70 years , A new world record
I really don't see how it could've been possible for them not to find him for 70 years.
Best couple in the MCU.
This mans practically died, lived out 80 extra years of his life and still managed to keep his word and give her a dance. Way to set the expectations for the men Cap. LOL.
Starting at 2:29, that is the same music that plays when Falcon gets his shield in Endgame!
_"Touchè but there has never been another Steve Rogers has there ?" - Zemo_
70 years later, Rhodey’s question. “Why didn’t you just jump out of the plane?” 😂
Peggy: don't be late
Steve : I won't be late I'll be there around 70 o clock at you're deathbed
Here are two handsome soldiers in much simpler times that both ended up wearing funky costumes 70 years in the future instead
*"I had a date"*
One of the Deleted Scenes in *Endgame:*
*"Couldn't you just jump out of the plane before crashing it?"*
Because the moment had him "Frozen" lolJK, but ayy moments like that you forget what to think and you just act 💯
How would jumping out save him?
Cap should've replied with: "shouldn't your suit have a parachute?"
Imagine how surprised Peggy was when Steve showed up for their date
Thanos time travels and detonates the bombs in the plane.
"I am inevitable."
I can't believe I watched this movie and dared not to enjoy it (I did not know Marvel back then). This scene is truly beautiful.
