I basically have no choice with ipads because I won my ipad mini in an essay contest and probably won't be able to afford a bigger one anytime soon. It's actually not bad for art, but I can see why some may want a bigger screen.
Wow congrats! That's true if the iPad mini is your only drawing device it can get quite limiting due to the size but it's possible! You could consider selling it and getting the bigger iPad Pro

I traded my iPad pro 11 inch for the iPad mini 6 when I realized that we can use Apple Pencil 2 on it. Because it's so light I can work for longer. I use it at my desk, then I recline in my chair to lay back and work when I get tired. I also use it on the sofa and in bed to rest my back. I love it! I'm able to fulfill client projects in logo design and packaging design. The iPad is my main device and I use my Macbook for 3D mockups. I'm playing around with the idea of getting into children's book illustration + animation, for the simple workflow on an iPad. Nice to see a glimpse of your workflow!

Im intending to get an ipad to start my tattoo art job. Im able to get an ipad pro or an ipad mini but I really like small gadgets and ipad mini seems just fine. The ipad pro is really necessary to this kind of job despite the bigger screen and memory? Once I dont think I will use 9999 layers to do tattoo arts
It definitely is more limited to paint on the iPad mini, mostly due to the size. But this was more to show that it’s possible to compete with the bigger iPad pros if on a budget
