In the USA the word “Bayou” is what we call the swamps down in Mississippi and Louisiana area. It’s actually pronounced “buy-you” in America. It got its Native American origins from the natives who originally lived there. Thought it was just interesting to see how you pronounced it compared to Americans. Love your list SJ❤️

I think Aspen, Julian or Harlan would be great names for the dilemma, especially Albie and Julian (Jule or Jules as a nickname) would fit together really well!
I love Bellamy with the nickname Bell for a boy, but not sure if I’m brave enough to use it. I’m afraid people will think it’s too feminine because it sounds like “Belle”.
Reuben / Ruben has been named 3 times in the comments right now for Emma's dilemma, from what I can see, and I think it's quite nice! Albie & Reuben - Albie and Rue / Albie & Ben sounds really good together! Owen, Pippin and Louan are also nice! What about Torin / Tovin? Albie & Tori or Albie & Tovi is cute!

I’ve always loved the name Josiah I knew a boy growing up with that name and he went by Si, (like sigh) I thought it was just the coolest name/nickname.
Lol, Wilbur Soot is actually the reason why Wilbur got on my radar a few years ago and has been on my list for awhile now (I'm also just a huge fan of boys names that end in the "er" sound).
I would recommend anyone looking for soft boy names to take a look at Polish names (where a lot of my name crushes are) - my favourite at the moment is Janusz (pronounced 'ya-noosh' but anglicised to Janus - which is also the Greek God of new beginnings). Another is Casmir which reminds me of the cashmere wool :) Since there are so many anglicised versions of names I recommend a look for people not adventurous enough for Phoenix!
Olso and Jago are so cool! Could see them on a child or a man really well 😊 I really love Arlo but it’s got so popular, I feel like those really work as an alternative with the “o” ending x
Cruz is actually a Spanish name but for a GIRL. You see, in Spanish every noun has a gender, for example "the cross" is "la cruz" (female noun) or "the tree" is "el árbol" (masculine noun). Even if we use the names without the article, they are still masculine or femenine names.
A name that goes well with this theme which is gentle and gender neutral but more boy to me is; Loxley For the Dilemma; Caspian I think Albie & Cass is super cute!
I find boy name so hard, we’re due with a boy in September and really struggling to find a boy name that isn’t religious background and hadn’t already been used in the family. So many boys on both sides

Could be albie and obe / Albie and Ronnie? Dorian or Lorien not sure what you would shorten too but love it! Albie and Beaumont / or beau or bo? Or albie and monty / albie and mo. Beaumont meaning beautiful mountain. Albie and Llewellen or shorten to Lew. Is like the Leo the partner suggested but the longer form ends in N. Means lion like or leader. Albie and Wilfred can shorten to Freddie. Albie and Freddie. Which means desiring peace. Hope this helps xx
One of the softest and cutest names for a boy is Eloi. It's french and is the masculine version of Eloïse, but the pronunciation of the "oi" is very different. Eloise is Elle-oh-eez, Eloi is El-wa. I think an english pronunciation as Eel-oy could be adorable and soft too.
I'm watching this two years later. I probably missed it because I was definitely not in baby naming mode at the time. My son's name is Marcel (Frederic). We loved it because it's so soft, but it's means young warrior. It fits him so well and he very proudly announces "I"m Marcel" all the time. We named our son Enzo. A common nickname for Vincenzo and Lorenzo. We didn't want the Portuguese versions Vicente and Lourenço. At the time our criteria was a name that was easy to pronounce, easy to spell, not completely unknown but also not too common.
