    Names I thought of when I saw this vid were:
    Atticus, Rowan, Hawthorn, Colton, Brooks, and Heath.
    I really love the idea of bringing back place names as a trend, but one thing I think we should do is look at street names they have really good inspiration there.

    I love seeing that Jasper has reached new heights, it's really such a lovely name!
    I'm shocked at how low down Augustus is in the UK! While not wildly popular, I think it's currently sitting within the top 500 in the US? Though I think it's been on the rise again as parents have been looking for alternatives to both August and Atticus (Atticus now being within the top 300 and August just outside the top 100.)
    Loving Ivo, Lowri, Abbott, Axel, Rufus, Wilbur, Virgil, Pluto, and Pippin!

    Ivo is dreamy. It would definitely be on my list if two different close friends didn't have an Ivor (nn Ivo) and an Iver. We're due in July and since I picked the perfect name for my first son Rumi everything else seems to fall short. We don't know the sex, though. Abbott was actually on my boy list last time since it's my mum's maiden name, but we are nickname-heavy over here and I thought Abbey was too natural of a nickname for Abbott and too feminine-sounding.

  • @joanie5278
    @joanie5278 Год назад +5

    I think Abbott isn’t so out there. When I was getting my pet last year, I was originally adopting a boy, to be named Alphege, NN Alfie, but the adoption fell through. When I then adopted a girl, I thought that since Saint Alphege was the abbot of Bath Abbey, I named her Abbey. I always have to tell people “Abbey with an E,” but I think it’s cute.

    My husband wanted Jesse 29 years ago for our first born son but I said no at the time because he was born in the North ( although we’re from the south of the country) and there’s a derogatory term “southern Jesse” which means weak! But wish we’d had it now!
    Have Jasper for our cat and LOVE Pippin, will recommend to all my children for possible grandchildren names!

    So I need your opinion on Victoria Suzette for a girl and calling her Vicki Sue. Too folksy?? Do I just think this name is adorable bc of pregnancy hormones?? Pls be honest 😆

    My partner and I are actually the opposite to what you said at the start of the video - we've not had any issue with boys names, but having so much trouble finding girls names that we both like 😂 We had our son's name, Samson Michael, picked out before we even knew we were having a boy. And it suits him amazingly! We're planning on trying for a second baby starting in June, and already loving the name Arthur for a boy. But struggling for girls names. I love unusual names, mainly because I have such a normal (boring) name myself and wish I had something a bit less common. But my partner is much more traditional. So finding that middle ground is hard and having that 'spark' when you find that special name hasn't happened at all. The middle name would be Elizabeth as that is a family name (mine and my mums middle name and her grandmother's name). We did think of Helenè (heh - lay - na) but it's just not got 'it' lol. I watch your name videos religiously just hoping that a gem will pop up that grabs us.
    Love your videos, been a fan for years now 🥰 xxx

      @@leighbrown9423 Thanks, we really love it! And also like that he easily can shorten it to Sam/Sammy if he's not so into having a more unusual name when he's older.

      What about Madeleine (Mad-el-ayn )for a girl ?? Similar to Helene with similar pronounciation and just as beautiful! She could be Maddy when she's younger and Madeleine or Layne when she's older ?? Just a thought ?? MADELEINE ELIZABETH sounds beautiful to me
