The most important part in painting is the drawing. Everything else is not very important. It is very important to see how the preliminary drawing is done. It looks like tracing from photography from lower layer.

Amazing work!! Do you usually use pencil modes like multiply and lighten to make values or do you simply color the values and after blending them? I'm curious how you make the skin looks so smooth.
Thanks so much! 😄I used the soft-round brush with an opacity of 10-20% to blend the colors of skin and used the hard-round brush for cutting shape around it. 😄✨

can you explain and elaborate on how you colour/draw the hair? i saw your posts on instagram and am really interested in the technique. your hair stylisation looks absolutely unique and stunning!

I mainly use the darkest color first for the hair then, I create a new layer for the hairline or highlight. That's mean I will create a bunch of layers for the hair (Average 10+ layers for every work)
I used the hard edge eraser to select the sharp of the hair and use the soft round eraser tool to make it smooth.
Anyway, I will make videoes about the tutorial, some tips, and techniques my own style soon! 😄

I have a question, how are you putting such sharp colors and then just blending it so softly, like for the shadows and highlights.

😄Usually, I used the hard round brush or texture brush for sharp color first. Then I use the soft round eraser to smoothen the fade and I use the soft round brush to blend the color together. I likely call it a hard brush first, then a soft brush (or eraser) to blend it.

You are using a reference image or are you creating everything from completely zero?? Im trying to learn how to paint realistically from scratch without reference images :(
For this one, I used references but just for posing any lighting and details are mine. Sometimes, I will use references to learn about light, details, etc. Creating from scratch needs time and experience to put out great results. (I still trying to practice always) 🔥😄
For most of my works lastest I don't use references for them, but sometimes references will help improve the work. 😊✨
