So we should give black plle coaching jobs? Which is pretty much all ameica and the nfl is doing. It has become illegal to hire a white coach.
Deion is not out scheming other coaches. He uses his big mouth and the fact that he was an incredible athlete to get his players. Plus black pple discriminate against white coaches. Big time.

As a buffs fan I agree. I don’t however think it’s his fault. I think the o line has a consistency issue. I love the defense and the way they have built it, but your stud QB can only win so many games for you from his back. Need an o line coach that will stay on and instill some grit and an actual standard. They played great in select games, but you have to make sure they come out to play every week

Over the past 20 years, Colorado has consistently rushed for over 1,000 yards as a team each season-except for the last two under Coach Prime. In 2022, despite getting blown out nearly every game and only winning one, they still managed to rush for almost as many yards as Colorado has totaled in the last two years combined. With better talent on the roster now, there’s really no excuse for the lack of a productive running game-unless the focus was on showcasing Shedeur Sanders to boost his draft stock. If that’s not the case, then how do you explain why they’ve been one of the worst rushing teams in the country over the past two seasons, failing to hit a mark that was routine for them even during their worst years as a program?

    • @zacchfromdalou9679

@ the line is trash.. the best kids are freshman… none of our running backs besides Augustave could keep there feet after contact… we had one of the best QBs in the nation.. but you wanted them to keep rushing for 50 yards a game with multiple rushers?? If we lived and died by the run we would’ve have won 4 games either year🤦🏾‍♂️ stop trying to make reality fit YOUR personal narrative🤧💯

Personally, I think the way Coach Prime entered Colorado as the new head coach for the Buffaloes could've and should've been done differently upon him addressing the team after his initial introduction and presentation. Yes, Coach Prime was successful at Jackson State (JSU) by going 11-2 in his first year (2021) and 12-1 in his second year (2022) as head coach. However, he lost to South Carolina State in 2021 and North Carolina Central in 2022 in the "Celebration Bowl." Yet, because of Coach Prime having winning seasons at JSU despite losing both Celebration Bowls, he seemed to approach the Colorado Buffaloes football team with a little arrogance as if he had been winning championships on the collegiate level, but he lost two bowl games with two winning seasons. I don't doubt that Coach Prime won't win a bowl game, even make it to the playoffs and potentially with the national championship. But, I believe Coach Prime's success could've been higher had his initial introduction to CU BUFFS been a little different, in my opinion 🤷. And it didn't help him neither by throwing his o-line under the bus last year when things got bad for them after starting the season 3-0 and being ranked in the CFB top 25.

Fortunately for us school pride still plays a big part in our program because we don’t have the NIL bankroll. Development of young 3 star players is crucial for us and mix in a few portal pieces in hopes that they gel and buy into our family mentality.

Having assistants leave is common in every program and even in the NFL, if they’re really good. Matt is right though, the assistants that aren’t getting opportunities or have been with Prime for too long, might be an issue. A few programs have/had that issue- see Iowa when their coach kept his son for too long. CU doesn’t have the trench guys even though they somewhat improved from last year. The portal and NIL will right itself in a few years, this happens with anything new. Culture development is possible- see BYU, Iowa, etc…they don’t get flashy players, because they don’t pay, they get right fits and develop. Deion’s philosophy is different, he builds from the outside in instead of inside out. Unless he changes that, he’ll always have this type of team. We’ve never seen him do that , but he’s only been a HC for 5 years so it’s possible.

Both came in as freshman, it doesn’t matter who your dad is on the field, performance and development is a level playing field on that field.
Many more examples, those are the two obvious ones.
For the one anomaly that is Arizona state there’s 50 in the opposite direction.
The entirety of college football is grabbing good players from the portal, take a look at Oregon on that one.
Certain schools developed players because now seniors committed when NIL/transfer portal were nothing like today, todays world is the transfer portal.
Even more, Colorado had more freshman production than virtually every college in the country, they didn’t come from the portal.
I could go on and on but it stays comical how you individuals try and maneuver your dislike for Deion as actual football talk.
You don’t know what your talking about but you don’t like Deion so he’s not developing kids, internet is wild man.

With his sons gone I think he will run the team in a more conservative fashion. With his sons gone there will prob be less perceived favoritism, run the rock more, QB won't hold the ball as long, get some Oline and RBs, and WRs and DBs will still want to play there. Players will see they have a shot to get to the conference championship game every year in an easier conference than SEC and BIG10. Hit the portal HARD for both lines and CO might be better from now on 🤷

If the line is bad next year I’m blaming prime. There is no way you have a bad line for 3 straight years and you’re claiming to be a good team. The line is a huge issue. Having all these skill players means nothing if you don’t have a line for the qb to throw the ball..
