@@rayous5480 honestly the sword makes sense. would pace better on screen (also I prefer the click pen from the movie over the capped pen, seems cooler) and i dont really see an issue with percy looking different. If you are worried about continuity about what people look like from book to screen, wouldnt you be a little disturbed by annabeth being black? Still overall dont really see any issues, and i feel like they casted percy pretty well as a whole. Walker Scobell makes the most sense as percy
@@jordanthewhoredan3138 the fact that annabeth is cast by a black actress has already been talked about enough, the fact is that Percy could have easily been fixed to fit the book by just dying his hair and in the minotaur scene the fact that he doesn't have a sword in the books is what makes it impressive
@@rayous5480 I guess I need to reiterate the Minotaur scene. Yes while killing the Minotaur with his hands is impressive, a small child killing one at all with 0 combat experience beforehand is still impressive. Also chiron giving Percy the pen to fight ms dods and then took it away from him in the same episode would be the wrong move. It would slow the pace in a future episodes because he now has to have a different weapon for capture the flag, aswell as when Chiron has to then give him the sword anyways. In all honesty I would prefer Riordan to have just allowed him to have it in the book anyways from when he first gave it to him. Doesn’t make a difference, the Minotaur is dead(honestly in a much more realistic way because like I said little kid with 0 combat experience) and he has the sword. Kills 2 birds with one stone and they don’t have to make the audience deal with him having it, it being taken away, and then given back to him a couple episodes later. As for the characters, if your that off-put about them not casting one to one’s with the book then don’t watch Harry Potter, because even though it isn’t as bad, there as still differences in appearance. Chill out with the “I’m annoyed” shit. Really ain’t that deep. Just enjoy the show
