Some say a certain Mr Edgar has bought stock of these back braces and is selling them for double the price haha. Never thought of this though, nice one!
I've used these for a different sport... I had a problem with leaning forward playing cricket while batting... They work wonders, gonna dig mine out and use it for this
It's worth to consider definitely, every little helps to become a decent dart player. Reduce 5s means more 20s and potentially T20 simple as that! Thanks Matt. 🎯🎯🎯🎯
Hi guys just started back throwinf after dominant eye surgery. Now have to start using my left eye so have to work on my posture. Any chance of that link again🏴✌️
Hi, I’d just like to say the way care not only about players (yourself being in the PDC) and the content you produce I always watch. You have a great channel great personality and well yeah top bloke. I’ve been recovering from having my bowl removed, chemo, then I had cancer of the liver also which cost me the left lobe 50% of my liver gone in open surgery…. As I’m house bound the only real exercise I can do is darts and I love it! Keeps me mentally sharper and a focus. I’ve never competed but if I survive the situation I’m in and M able I want to start playing real people lol. Or join a team, I would have no idea how to even go about tournament play, at home in my practice room I’m Phil Taylor lmao that’s just a joke before I get smashed. Since I’ve fell in love with the game(in my environment) is being selected and getting noticed possible cheers great stuff. Jake
Hitting the 5’s and even the 12’s has been my main problem over the years. I have ordered this item, hope to get some results. Can’t see me wear this in a pub. The goal is to improve the stance, so i won’t be needing it in the future, right?
Two questions: 1. Would you recommend always using this or simply until muscle memory is built up? 2. Is a support like this permitted for tournament use by governing bodies?
Was this just made for darts or for your posture overall? And wouldn't it feel weird using this in training and then not in a match because you wont feel that pressure on your back?? Great vid
This one is not available anymore. Any form of a posture corrector will work? One I’m lookin at doesn’t have the strap that goes around the stomach area, and can’t find one that does
Would it work if, like me, you have prolapsed discs I the lower back. I can't stand the way I used to, I'm more face on to the board now. I definitely feel my hips rotate.
throwing a 20 dart average hitting so many 5s, i play legs of 5001 with breaks as they take about 30 mins. looking at my scores i go into a phase of good scores then a phase of bad , there isnt a huge amount of consistancy except at hitting 5s, this is litreally a patern of scores from my last game yesterday which i fnished in 243 darts, 45, 85, 95, 45, 45, 85, 30. that was 8 fives out of 21 darts. i wish i knew what i was doing different, as it all feels the same, sure i hit 1s too, but 5s maybe 3x as much.
Maybe it could help when players with back problems(Gary Anderson) use them during training or matches. Speaking of Gary, I heard you defeated him with a big fish for the match, can you confirm?
Big Fan here. Have to say this is terrible advice I'm a physical therapist and I work with chronic posture issues everyday. Using straps that " Pull" us into the right position do nothing to improve our posture issues.. They pull us into alignment without addressing the issue that is " why are we out of alignment" By doing this the muscles that should be working to keep us in healthy posture don't have to work, the strap enables them, making them weaker and less likely to perform. Once you take it off you'll be worse off. I've noticed this allot with dart players who undeniable know how to play the game but know very little about biomechanics.. Do not use these.. adress your issues at a deeper level and you'll reap the rewards down the line.
If it was for long term use I agree...however, I believe this is not for long term use to where your muscles get weaker. It is designed to activate your mind into recognizing what a proper dart posture and throw would be/feel like...so that you aren't getting that rotation/correction due to poor stance/throwing action causing the drift left.
Thank you for doing this video as I'm having a few back and hip problems atm. it's making me over componsate my throw so im putting more pressure on my shoulder. Think this might be the trick but don't want to have to rely on it that's the problem.
Dartitus is a psychology issue developed through a technical flaw. I do run coaching sessions. Link is in the description if you would like to explore this 👍
Thank you, my darts stray, I’d never even thought about this !
I'm gonna buy this thing. I have a lot of problems with my position. Thanks a lot!
I'm getting right on this......it could be just what I need. My posture is terrible at the best of times. Cheers, Matt.👍
bought! the amount of 5's i hit is ridiculous! thanks for this :)
That really helps if darts was about hitting 5s I would be unbeatable
same here haha, I'm a pro at hitting 3 triple 5s in the same visit
@@vincenzodanello4085 who needs a treble 20
That's not how it works, if you then aimed at 5s all the time, you'd probably slip into the 12
@@ConnorBennett180 no cuz i would go for the 20 and I would hit every 5
Try aiming at the iron between 1 and 20, maybe it'll go straight into the 20s😂😂
Some say a certain Mr Edgar has bought stock of these back braces and is selling them for double the price haha.

Love the vids where you give darts tips. You explain things very well...... Just the info on why the darts pull left was extremely useful.
Cheers jay glad you found it useful 👍
I've used these for a different sport... I had a problem with leaning forward playing cricket while batting... They work wonders, gonna dig mine out and use it for this
I need to strengthen my posture by Monday, back to yoga twice a day !
Another useful equipment...
Well done in the summer series great to see you on the t,v winning 😎💪

i have this at home i broke clavicle fracture with bike 2 years ago, nice tips thx :)
Amazing how good that works. My throw feels a lot more natural now, but I’m using a back protector I normally use for skiing
BEST INTRO!
bring it back!

Another great video Matt
That’s great Matt!

So good to see how you have stayed active and positive through hard times. Well done and thanks for the message
Very interesting thanks for these tips
Would that be allowed to be worn on tour? Not that I’m gonna be there but u were throwing quite well with it on
Great information!!!♥️🎯🎯🎯
Hello Matt genuine question I'm left handed and am forever hitting ones would that be the same?
Or is that more of an aim / grip issue????
Hitting the 5’s and even the 12’s has been my main problem over the years. I have ordered this item, hope to get some results.

Exactly right. It’s to help not to be reliant on 👍

No I wouldn’t recommend playing games in this it’s purely a training aid. Although there are not rules against the use of this in matches at present
@@Edgartvdarts thanks Matt quality and informed content as always 👍

The idea is that through using it constant that it becomes more natural and doesn’t have negative motor pathways
@@Edgartvdarts thanks👍

Where can I purchase this item? It could be a game changer in how I keep my darts straight
There’s a link in the description
The link to the product is no longer active. Could you give a new one or the exact name?
Would it work if, like me, you have prolapsed discs I the lower back. I can't stand the way I used to, I'm more face on to the board now. I definitely feel my hips rotate.
Matt My darts pull to the right. Any ideas on how to straighten up my throw? Cheers
Where can you buy them and what are they called?
throwing a 20 dart average hitting so many 5s, i play legs of 5001 with breaks as they take about 30 mins. looking at my scores i go into a phase of good scores then a phase of bad , there isnt a huge amount of consistancy except at hitting 5s, this is litreally a patern of scores from my last game yesterday which i fnished in 243 darts, 45, 85, 95, 45, 45, 85, 30. that was 8 fives out of 21 darts. i wish i knew what i was doing different, as it all feels the same, sure i hit 1s too, but 5s maybe 3x as much.
the link no longer works, would you happen to have an updated link?
The link doesnt work anymore, where can i get these
I cant hold my elbow straight, i cant bring it in, any tips how i can train it?
Maybe it could help when players with back problems(Gary Anderson) use them during training or matches. Speaking of Gary, I heard you defeated him with a big fish for the match, can you confirm?
Players with a front facing foot are more prone to back injury’s. And yes ! That is true 😁
Also the major new feeds are speculating that The Edgar Nation studios are moving to 170 Big Fish Street to celebrate this fact.
Do you think one would have to keep wearing it or could you stop after a while
Yes defo once you had it for a while you shouldn’t neee it for ever
your a professional player though. for us novices we would still continue to hit 1s and 5s.
Link for product?
Link won't open. What's the name of it?
would this not effect your throw when throwing for other numbers instead of grouping in one area like the 20s
No cause it’s about posture
I wonder how you don't mind that yellow light
Could you wear this playing professionally, or is it banned?
It’s not for long term use it’s a temporary aid
Dos this work stop me shooting left
I throw everywhere but down the middle
Great advice. I bought one but it doesn’t fit my fucking shoulders. Can’t find one

What about right? 🤪
If you are over 6ft and more than 15stone don’t buy this one as I did it will cut your blood circulation lol.
They do come in different sizes 😂🙈
Im 6'4 and over 15 stone and it works fine for me
Thank god you got rid of the long hair :)
Would you be aloud to use it in matchplay?
Under your shirt you can but I would suggest playing in it just a training aid. I worn it over the top so people can see
