For those wondering why the Rockaway Park branch is served by a shuttle instead of splitting the A like at Lefferts, all but one of the five stations on the Rockaway Park branch are the top 4 least used stations in the system with the remaining station being the 8th. Remember, service patterns in complex rail systems are usually based on ridership demand, not the track layout, connections, junctions or continuations.

I heard that no more R46's are running on the shuttle. Fully R179's now.
wonder if an R211 will run on the shuttle soon
Doubt it cause they mainly use the R211’s on the A but sometimes the C.
@@Br0nxfryeah but the shuttle uses the same rolling stock as the A/C since it's from pitkin yard
There is an inverter sound that makes a similar sound in Japan. It's interesting!
What's your take on CTA's New Yorker counterpart aside from system size? It is also one of America's most iconic els next to yours.
R179s are pretty much standard on the Shuttle now. I believe there are no more R46s on that line.
I came right in time to catch them both in service!
R179 on the first 5 cars
Was that the female train driver friendly?
