Unlike the other court TV show appearances, with this episode, I was a paid actor hired to re-enact a real life court case. So we didn't know each other until beforehand. I guess all of these Entertainment Studios produced court shows work like this.
I always assumed that’s how it worked. But I saw one of these shows once and one of the people involved was an attorney from my hometown and represented himself as such on the show, So who knows. I guess he still could have been a paid actor though.
so judge judy is just yelling at paid actors? damm.. just ruined my whole adulthood lol are the judges paid actors too? haha
@@tee228 nah Judge Judy and a few other shows do look into cases and ask if they would like to be on the show and come to a settlement but its not a real court, its more of a contract to settle things and they do pay for them. I had a friend who went on Judge Judy years ago and was paid 5k and got to have fun in NY. He was the defendant and he didn't "win." 😂
Judge Judy and People’s Court use real people and cases for the most part.
@@tee228 I was asked to be on Judge Judy when I filed a small claims court suit once, many years ago. They seem to use real people/cases. I didn't opt to do it, as I didn't want my landlord to get any money from the show. She stole some of my property. I don't reward bad behaviour.

Because I've actually knew people who appeared in judge Mathis and divorce court etc,, that were from our home town, so idk about this placing actors in, because,, well some case are real and true blue case with real people

Not this time, this was an acting gig. I met the guy suing me the day we filmed it. They pay you to re-enact a real court case. Everybody got $75.
@@palmertrolls They pay you like ass. $75 that's it? I've done some market research work that pays like that, but acting should be more, even just for a gig.
@@R-MD Compared to all of the shitty jobs I've had, I'd probably rank this one near the top. They only needed me for half a day and I got chips and a sandwich. Lays, too. Not off-brand.
@@palmertrolls Nice, I did a focus group for an oil company a couple years ago that paid $150 and had a buffet, that was a good gig. Buddy of mine gets treated a little better. He does some acting gigs from time to time, gets catering and $500 for 1-2 days of filming. Which is why I was shocked at how little you got paid.
@@R-MD He's probably in the actor's union. They get paid a bit more. You gotta have 1 speaking line to qualify to get into the actor's union, court shows don't count. I did a lot of background acting work as a non-union actor. Maybe not as much as your buddy but it was always gravy.

What a stupid model. Think about it. I left all other social media six months ago. If I leave RUclips, maybe I'll get a radio antenna or another guitar. A unicycle? Okay, so for this one, I was just an actor that got hired to re-enact a court show. So I was assigned the name and the story. I was living in Los Angeles and got casted. They pay you 75 bucks for a half day's work. Pretty easy.
