Hearing Ariel (Jodi Benson) sing When You Wish Upon A Star is too magical. Jodi Benson has the best voice of all the Disney Princesses, in my opinion. Ariel is my childhood, and continues into my adulthood
Two of the greatest of ALL the Disney Legends. Growing up with their work was truly a gift. I was SO fortunate to have been born in 1982. Being able to grow up with the incredible Fantasy Films of the 80s (Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, Neverending Story, Willow, etc.), the Don Bluth Animations (Land Before Time, An American Tale, Secret of Nimh, All Dogs Go To Heaven), and the Disney Renaissance (Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Lion King, etc.) AND the advent of Pixar (Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Wall-E, etc.). SUCH a treat. So many amazing films from both decades. Wish I could say the same of the 2000s and 2010s.
Yes, they are the most gifted women in my life because I can feel the spirit of Jodi Benson, and Paige O'Hara right here, right now beside me. Thank you for so much, God bless Jodi, and Paige O'Hara too.
Yes. Being born in 1982, I grew up in a CULTURAL TREASURE HOUSE for kids. The 80s and 90s were amazing, until the PC crowd began systemically ruining everything fun in life. Today's kids are growing up in a wasteland by comparison. So unfortunate. I'll always credit John Williams and Nobuo Uematsu for co-writing the score to my childhood. But there were SO many incredible composers of film and video game music I absolutely adore. Alan Menken, Tim Rice and Howard Ashman, among them.
I hold the opposite opinion, but that doesn't matter. I would NEVER begrudge anybody their opinion in this matter. Both beyond wonderful. A treat to hear them sing together.
@@ggt47 Yes, Since 1991, I saw an announcement trailer of "Beauty and the Beast" on the 1991 VHS Coy of "The Jungle Book", I mean, I couldn't even tell. I myself met Jodi Benson and told her the same thing.
@@ggt47 She understood and knew what I meant. I mean, Paige O'Hara's singing voice and Jodi's singing voice sound so similar and was unable to tell them apart.

It's not so stupid--if you don't know the singers well, and they have numerous similarities in style and tone quality. Singers who were more radically different in style or type would be easier to tell apart, or if you were a devoted fan of one or both and knew all their work and all their quirks, it would be easier to tell apart. But in the absence of that, yes, it's a little hard to tell.
Ariel & Belle uniting to sing Disney's official anthem. That, in and of itself, should be put to animation.
Sounds lovely.
It sort of happened!!

Absolutely incredible. They have managed to capture everything I love about this song and make it my ultimate favourite Disney song.
...yes...indeed.
When these two disney princesses sing together, you can hear a choir of angels singing from Heaven. ❤👍🧜♀️🌹
Does anyone else want to cry when they hear Jodi Benson's voice?
Kind of. Probably because I never grew up listening to her.
Ahh, the 90's how I wish I was raised then. I guess I should be grateful to be born in the year '99.
These really hit the ball out of the field with this rendition 👏👏👏❤️
Paige has the prettiest voice ever, Jodi too, but Paige is the best
