    This certainly needs stability testing, 6400 MT/s is stable on some Ryzens, 6200 MT/s on a lot of Ryzens and 99.9 % of them can do 6000 MT/s. For instance my previous Ryzen 7 7700 was able to run 6400 MT/s DIV1 mode rock stable, however my new 9800X3D not even at 1.3V SoC is able to pass OCCT memory tests. However I assume it would be stable at around 1.32 V SoC. At least I can run 6000 MT/s at reasonable SoC voltage, currently I am running 1.1 V SoC

    Its a nice chip , but if you are upgrading from a 7800X3D its not worth the upgrade because you are only getting 20-30% increase on certain games . I would wait till the next generation of X3D chips that come out and you get a 50-70% increase and makes it actually worth it upgrading . Now if you are building a brand new PC then sure get the 9800X3D .

      You don’t think 30 percent uplift is worth the upgrade? After you sell your old chip you are only into it like 50 dollars .

    • @starscream8975
      @starscream8975 2 месяца назад

      @ Nope , because that 30 % is only being achieved by OC and it only in certain games , Why would I want to sell my CPU when its still fine like I said its not worth the upgrade wait a generation where you get more out of it that comes stock .

    AMD is not the ideal choice for video editing or Adobe software applications. In comparison, Intel and Nvidia perform well in these tasks.
    Intel and AMD need to more improve in 2024. Intel's prices are too high for their specs, while the Mac M4 offers great performance at a lower cost.
    An Intel computer of comparable quality to a Mac Mini M4 costs twice as much as a Mac Mini M4.

    I've got a 5800 X 3D shouldn't fclk clock be half of the DDR speed for example I've got 32 gigabyte in 3600 MHz so my fclk should be half of that 1800 right?

    • @saliencyy
      @saliencyy 24 дня назад

      fclk should be as high as possible without black screen/errors for higher frequency to work w/o errors/black screen (short answer: max out fclk, then do frequency tuning, should be 1833 +- 200 depends on silicon, get highest)

    • @amazingworld9736
      @amazingworld9736 24 дня назад

      @tatar1061 I don't think so bro, fclk should be synced with data speed cause fclk comunicates directly with the memory controller which is on a specific frequency, it doesnt make sense at all it getting faster.

    • @saliencyy
      @saliencyy 24 дня назад

      @@amazingworld9736 true, you are right I forgot how it works. then you need to find max stable match of fclk\frequency when you can boot (so CPU works at its highest possible fclk) then tighten it's timings

    • @saliencyy
      @saliencyy 24 дня назад

      @@amazingworld9736 also I use 5800x3d and found that memory tuning does nearly no difference if not making it worse for very high oc and low timings in some games

      ofc that's applied only for more than 3600 MHz 1800 fclk
