This is the video that decides whether I watch Revue Starlight or not Edit: 12 seconds into the video and I already made my decision Edit 2: 6 hours later and I just finished Revue Starlight, and it was amazing. For a show that amazing, it should be talked about way more, so I agree that Revue Starlight is underrated
What i love about this anime is that, yes,we get the depth of the things they want to discuss, specially what concerns the entertainment industry BUT...we all have been where they were: we DO understand the feeling of trying our best and still failing or having the sense that we did not get anywhere at all; we DO understand how it is to put someone on a high pedestal and it's consequences; we know how overwhelming it is to learn something new that completely changed the way we saw things or our perspective about life,falling deeply in love with it and all just to end up losing that very thing;as we DO know how painful, lonely,awful,etc it is to get attached to something/someone and then losing it forever or at least living with the fear of the possibility of this happening; we KNOW the feeling of envy and jealousy;we understand how it is to be possessive, prideful;we've all felt loneliness, emptiness even if in different ways;we can recognize that sometimes we give up too much for the sake of someone dear to us. Revue Starlight is SO beautiful and addictive (in my opinion) because it's metaphoric to a LOT of the things we had to experience in life in order for us to move on and grow,to the fact that we are human and our nature..as i said,we have all been there.
I randomly found this series while searching for new anime and i was hooked on the first episide. The music, animation, characters, plot EVERYTHING was so amazing

If you haven't watched Revolutionary Girl Utena yet, I'd strongly recommend it. Series first then movie if you want. I feel like it has a lot of similarities storytelling wise with revue starlight, so you'll probably have a good time with it.
As I said on the community post, I would watch it. Damn, that was already almost half an hour? Felt so short and this video is good holy damn. "Fate would only be by those who accept it", I guess this should be all more the reason for everyone to keep going in life.

I just finished the anime and went to see this video and all i can say is that yes : They did dazzled me truly to the core and i wont forget it ever. WATCH STARLIGHT AND GET DAZZLED BY THEM LIKE I WAS ! Truly underrated but chief kiss anime to me of this end of year 2024 , 10/10 !
I watched it a few months back after dropping it after 6 eps. I hate the fact that I dropped it when the show started to pick up cus it’s too good and I’m revelling in all the content available and will most likely cry my heart out when the movie dvd comes out next month

Well Starlight is a story long long time ago, and if Kagura Hikari didn't transfer this story will not complete. Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight is a good story well it has gay scenes but it has a good plot
