I exchanged my Odeon because the monogram pattern on the front didn’t line up. The SA said, “well these bags are handmade.” I wanted to burst out laughing.
Busy out laughing because you saw the bag being made? Nobody actually hand makes bags like that lol we live in modern times. You do also realize a bag is just a bag right? Maybe you should stick to Marshalls bags.
Im also trying to change my mindset about luxury goods. Honestly id rather buy dupes at this point! If i love the design that much, I'll save thousands and it looks just like the original ones anyway. Edit: BTW you're one of the only luxury focused channels left that still keeps it real. I love your videos.
You can buy dupes all you want but you’ll always want the real thing. You can wear a dupe but you’ll always know that it’s a fake. If you can’t afford the brand just stick to your budget. A dupe will always be a dupe. You can’t resell them and most people like me can detect a fake, I call people out on it.
@Shh007 yeah? That's the whole reason to buy a dupe or a similar style because I do like the design of the real one? Isn't that what I just said? 🤣 Ok girl, you're the "expert" Hun.
@@Shh007a Dupe Isn't a Fake 😂 A Replica is a Fake. You sound ignorant, materialistic and vapid. You also sound poor in wealth AND mindset as well as financially illiterate. 😊 -Signed a purchaser of Authentic Luxury for 20+ years.
I love these negative outlooks on luxury goods. Because like you said people expect these items to be made out of unicorn leather, everything in this world can be destroyed if given time and same could be said about bags.
That's a good point about degrading over time. There was a leather craftsman channel who basically rebuilt an old Birkin because it had fallen apart so badly. Definitely not unicorn leather 😂 it's not a negative thing, but just fair criticism, y'know? Like what makes those cows and their leather so much better than our cows and our leather? Not much. Those cows are still rolling in the mud and eating hay like every other cow 🐮 haha
I have a gold bracelet that I have worn for 24/7 for 10 years, in the bath or shower and it still functions perfectly with a few surface scratches. I will never buy from a high end brand when you can go to a private jeweller and get exactly what you want with excellent materials.
My croisette is 3 years old and I used it about 10 times and noticed the handle has a crack, My bag still looks brand new and not sure why the handle has a crack
Thank God, I am not into luxury. I once watched unboxings for entertainment to see what peoplewaste their money on. I like my minimal lifestyle. Ad I like dressing like I can't afford anything.
@@dialmstyle People's response to my comments when I tell them that luxury isn't worth it is that I can't afford it and that I am jealous. @@dapperlygrungy3189OMG thank you for calling that out. They take everything as a personal attack these days, like 'SomehowAdulting' did a video trying to poopoo on Tanner Leatherstein and his similar criticism of luxury brands not being worth it, so she bought one bag from his brand and made up a bunch of lies in her video about his website, his product, his advertising, etc etc. She purposefully omitted so much that it had to be on purpose. Not very "adult" or mature way to criticize someone successful with a legit business. I'm glad you mentioned Meredith too, she got her @$$ chewed out by most of her comments on her Dior unboxing earlier this year after the scandal came out. At least if she acknowledged the controversy that would have prevented alot of criticism but instead she doubles down and completely showed her inner monster. If she sees nothing wrong with how Dior workers were treated, I can't imagine how she treats her own employees at her company. Yikes. I'm definitely not perfect, I'm guilty of wasting my money on fun, unnecessary things too sometimes, but at least I don't tear down and bully other creators just because they can prove I'm full of $hit.
3-5 years of use for Small Leather Goods is Huge in my humble opinion. The luggage will last even longer since it comes with a thick black cover. The clothes will last longer than clothes from H&M. All textiles wear. Nothing will look like New once it leaves the store because they are now worn and used. Buy what they are known for.... luggage... but only if you travel.

@@Shh007 Don't be ridiculous, the monogram has to line up or it's a defect. Clearly the SA was excusing a defective product.
@@dialmstyle As compared with hand stitched! Because no machine spits out a fully automated bag unless it's plastic extruded. LOL
@@deborahcurtis1385 the SA was making fun of you for being so silly about a canvass aka plastic bag. You’re not an elite costumer to them.

💯
But for the price you pay for supposedly high quality, you expect good quality. It's the reason I mainly have vintage.
