I am working on listening to Starset's discography, I discovered this group about a year ago when I discovered Ra. Both bands are severely underappreciated with their musicianship and creativity. This song here with a true cover with their own make and style shows it. I want to see these guys live so very badly!!!

What?! I’m a huge Type O Negative fan, I was shocked when I heard this come up in the mix, I had no idea they’d done a cover. I still think the original is a timeless classic, I mean come on, it’s Peter Steele (RIP) and Type O, but it’s a great version and I applaud them for putting their own spin on it and they were able to keep it sexy.

Currently playing the albums at work (and looped). I can't get enough of them. Also, go to a concert if you can. It is beautiful, and the band members are just so great. Splurge on the VIP passes. It is worth the price.

The Type O Negative version of this song was always one of my favorite songs from them. When I heard the intro and I knew what it was I was a bit worried that the vocals wouldn't hold up to that version...but well done. Seriously, well done and beautiful. Couldn't have been a better tribute.

On Halloween 2015, I was at a birthday party of a friend of mine. She was intelligent, beautiful, humorous and had a great character. We just had that click. On the 25th of November that year I got into a car crash and very nearly died. That same day she got a boyfriend, I was later told. While lying in the hospital bed half dead and pumped full of morphine, I discovered this band. Throughout my recovery I listened to it. Now every time I listen to any of their songs, all those feelings associated with that period come back in full force. It might be the most bittersweet feeling ever. Thank you for making this music.

Four years f this song and I just realized now that this is a cover. started listening to Type O Negative and they are super good! I always love when covers change the song's tempo in a way that completely changes the mood, while also pays homeage to the original.
Admittedly listened to the original version AFTER hearing this cover. The melody and lyrics are entrancing all around, but I definitely get more out of Starset's cover. Where the Type O version felt slightly more ominous, bordering on sinister, Starset's cover (to me) has a bit more clarity in the music and the vocals, and plays far more seductive and hypnotic. It's honestly one of my favourite songs by them - I was hooked from the moment it started playing - and I can't overstate enough how much I love the work both artists put into bringing it to life
