That's exactly how I feel about Ricochet. It's my all-time favorite song, and I honestly can't place one version over the other. I feel like the original is about the anger and frustration in realizing you have only yourself to blame in pushing someone away. In comparison the acoustic is almost the acceptance that you're to blame; there's no real anger, only solemn acknowledgement. I sincerely apologize if I made absolutely no sense in this comment.
Dude I saw them live with Shinedown as the headliner and they are by far the most badass band ever. They had the coolest set and light show. I had never heard of them before and they killed it.

It's the same feeling was the original, just two differnt sounds. The original is more melancholy, as if a farewell, but this version sounds as if someone is looking forward to meeting them again. It's a quite wonderful thing.

This is possibly my favourite song in existence right now. It is so raw with longing, and so beautiful it leaves my heart aching and singing every time I listen to it. I didn't know it was possible to be so full with emotion (that's the best way I can think of to describe it) that it's like they could spill over and out of your body at any moment. Starset is like an out-of-body experience.
