Hi Mr Rakshith, I loved the video I grew up in Nottingham so sometimes watch videos because I get home sick. You describe everything so clearly and in a way that is easy to follow . You were also correct about the houses in the park having their own private cave this is true. In the brew house yard beneath the castle that is a museum so worth a look I brought my kids over and took them around. Also Ye old trip to Jerusalem is worth a look stop in and get a meal this to is part cave so I think you would enjoy the history of it. Thanks for a great video and good luck with your studies

Thank you very much for filming this fantastic video, it bring us back a lot of memory on those days where we were studied at Nottingham Trent University. That is also the year where the new library completed and official opened. Mind to film another video on Sandby Hall (and the opposite hostel as well too) at Hampden St, that is where we used to stay at. Cheers

    This is a nice video
I'm from Nottingham and glad they have demolished the Broad Marsh Centre because it was so dated.
The city centre has a few slopes here and there but most of the city isn't that hilly, unless you cycle on the east side of Nottingham (Mapperley, Carlton, Gedling) which has all the steepest roads in the city.
The Park Estate is nice and on the west side of the city but the city has many good areas though (as well as some bad ones).
I would do Wollaton Park, Highfield Park, Victoria Embankment (Trent Bridge), Colwick Country Park, Attenborough Nature Reserve - even a walk into Colwick Woods at summer is lovely or Arboretum Park which is next to Nottingham Trent University..
Although Nottingham gets cold in winter but it is still warmer than many of the cities in the UK and it doesn't get much snow compared to other parts of the country

Hi Mr Rakshith, very nice vlog and thanks for sharing. 2 weeks ago I and my girlfriend visited Nottingham as tourists although we did not make any video clips with tour guide commentary.
It's nice to recognise most of the tourist sights we saw in personal in your video.
In regards to exploring Nottingham City centre we pretty much did the same with the exceptions of the Park Estate, Library, Hockley, canal.
We also explored a suburb in the West of Nottingham, as it looked more spacious on Google Maps: We got the Red Arrow bus from Derby and got off at Queens Medical Centre bus stop, we looked at big houses on Adams Hills, walked on Green close to see a brown wooden house, a giant birds' house on the right, then down the hill to look back at the Nottingham Sign (made by the University Of Nottingham), the sign looks like the Hollywood sign in America, we then made our way to Wollaton Hall And Deer Park using the Beeston Lodge entry, then towards the University Boulevard tram stop (passing the De Vere Orchid Hotel which looks unique), then on the stepping stones that cross the lake) on the way, finally we rode the tram to Nottingham city centre.
If you want an idea for making a new video you are welcome to use our itinerary in the previous paragraph.

It is 20 minutes (sometimes 25 minutes) on train sometimes with 1 stop at Loughborough but by car (depending which route you take) go on A606 Melton Mowbray then A46 to Leicester which takes you directly to the Golden Mile (Belgrave Road) which is 30 minutes drive. If you going via M1 then it is longer around 45-50 minutes

Coventry??? My goodness, that is a terrible place to stay although Warwick University is top notch. Nottingham has a lot more to offer, nicer city with shopping and great restaurants, history, beautiful parks and so on. Trust me, Nottingham is a much better city and bigger than Coventry - very student vibe city. I used to live in Coventry when I was doing my Masters at Warwick Uni - it's a hellhole - even Leicester is better (which is where I also stayed when I was doing my degree) and that is crap in comparison to Nottingham too
