My name is Rakshith. I am from the sunshine island of Singapore. I'm in the UK for my Undergraduate course in Mechanical Engineering at Nottingham Trent University and to discover my true passion and a future career path.

The Christmas at Wollaton light experience at Nottingham was a spectacular experience. I must say, Lei, Gabe and I had a memorable experience during our visit this year.

Hey, you’ve got to book it in the NTU accommodation portal. You’ll be able to find it when you Google NTU accommodation.

Can we cover the course fee and our expenses by working part time?
Thank you for dropping a comment. Honestly, it's really difficult to find a part time job that pays the rate that your qualification demands. That makes it difficult to cover both fees and expenses by working part time. As a rough calc- fees are about 17k, ie. 1416/month. So to cover the fees alone you'd have to earn above 17.7 pounds an hour.

Hey Rakshith Going to be studing in clifton campus. Currently browing through acccomodation options. My mates are from city campus so i believe i'll stay near city campus. is it possible to own a cycle to get around? how good of parking is there for cycles in clifton campus?Or else do you suggest uni accomodations, college drive is at present having limited rooms available
Hey, I might be a little late to reply on this one but here are my thoughts. Living near the city campus is the best choice as your are in the city and things like getting groceries, restaurants are easier to access. There are spaces to park cycle on Clifton Campus. However I would not rely on cycling to be the only way to commute as it can be a terrible experience when the weather gets bad. But definitely consider both private and uni options. Both are great!
Thanks for the guide. For a student with a tier 4 visa, working more than 20hrs a week, how adversely will it affect his stay in the UK.
I’m not sure what the consequences are but it’s a good idea to stick to the conditions of your visa.

I came to know that in nortigham has lot of night shift jobs in restaurents,pubs ,clubs. Is it true???
From my understanding, there are opportunities but they do tend to get filled up quickly. The easiest time to get a job here is over the summer or winter break and continue on working through the term.
